Typical Collingwood :-X :P as much as this hurts me to say, Hawks played awesome footy last night, Pies' defence looked ordinary though, could be because Hawthorn played so well, but more desirably it could be that they just suck :P

The press seemed to be non-existent from both teams for most of the match and that's what made last night's game such a spectacle.

Not sure if you were at the game, but I certainly didn't get that impression from the top tier of the G.

What I noticed were many tactics aimed at beating the press which was still very much there. Quick accurate ball movement was key, fast breaking from contests into space wherever it was, boundary or the middle, didn't matter. A lot of work at creating space from the press, drawing players away then kicking long into the space and running on to the ball. Also noticed some refreshed old school tactics for kick outs. Grouping in the centre on the 50 meter line and sprinting out in formation.

The Hawks look to be playing very attacking football this year. With a forward line like ours and our line breaking kicks off half back it makes a lot of sense.

With Bailey, Roughead, Hodge and Shiels out I thought this was going to be really difficult for the Hawks but they managed really well.

As you said before, Macaffer and Didak aren't really best 22 and Brown has been out for months and months. It does show a big contrast in the depth of the two teams

Nah wasn't at the game, but I guess watching it on TV, I just saw what you had pointed out Hawk. The game was quite open and our guys didn't stop running which was great to see.

Hawkers are just too good at the moment. Buddy is on fire and looks better than 2008 and sammy mitchell is one of the best mids in the game :) Bring on 2012

Hardly matters as he crumbs his own ball so many times.
