So I am going to say what no one seems to be saying, our outs for tonight's match rival Collingwood's.

Collingwood's:
Nathan Brown
Chris Tarrant
Ben Johnson
Sharrod Wellingham
Nick Maxwell
Andrew Krakouer
Brent Macaffer
Alan Didak

Hawthorn's:
Luke Hodge
Max Bailey
Jarryd Roughead
Stephen Gilham
Paul Puopolo
Liam Shiels

I very much doubt whether than Brent Macaffer is in Collingwood's best 22 and given Alan Didak's 2011 form I doubt he is either.

This isn't me pre-empting a loss tonight with excuses, I feel as though we bat deeper than the Pies and have a better team on the field for tonight. If we lose it will be a disappointment, but I don't want to hear any rubbish like, "if we can't beat the Collingwood reserves then we are stuffed for the year" that I have heard about a little in the media over the past week.

I find it funny how every article I've seen they've raved on about the pies outs, yet our outs are better in my opinion..
I hope we win, but I can imagine the excuses about Pies missing players if we win..
Whats the go with Puopolo?

JBs-Hawks

Bit surprised with gunstan being subbed woulda thought maybe a runner would have got the gig

Mr.Craig

I was worried about the Hawks tonight but we seem to be able to put on those 5/6 goal bursts against the better teams now. Next week is going to be huge.

Justin Bieber

Good win by the boys :D

Must have been underdone. Seemed OK when he was hanging out before the game signing autographs for kids.

Awesome game, Franklin best on ground.
Rioli went missing in the 2nd but his first half was brilliant, Mitchell well he's a freak.
Sewell played very well, Schoenmakers started to do okay on Cloke in the second half.. Still not convinced but I don't know..
Pendlebury was amazing in that 3rd quarter, kept the pies in it.
Probs franklin 3 votes. Pendles 2 votes, 'Mitchell 1 vote :p

Hawka

flowering awesome win a fair few errors here and there but atleast we got the win
Buddy,Mitchell,Birch,Rioli and Sewell were our best was impressed by Broc in the ruck after a scratchy first half
Now ryan flowering Shocenmakers he is my most hated player from hawks ever!! i cant stand him i dont know how many times i swore at the TV cos of him
anyways great win without 2 of our best 4 middies our best ruck and 1 of our best fwd/rucks

and is it just me or does collingwood turn people into rats??
i swear fasolo,Blair, pendles and thomas are rats not humans an im pree sure i spotted more

me too :)
i bet he didnt think 6 months ago when the lions delisted him tht in 6 months time he would be the premiership favorites number1 ruck for round 1 haha

Ringo

Great Game and pleased for McCauleys sake.  He looked good for us last season  (I remember his standout game against Saints where he came to notice of FF fans) and then disappeared from our Team. Was disappointed to see him delisted especially with the Mitch Clarke saga.

Mitchell continues to surprise and would be a solid addition to any midfield.

arzbar96

Did anyone notice our amazing end to end goals?
Suckling from the kick in, gets the handball receive, kicks again, another handball receive and sets up the goal.
another one from the kick in took like 10 seconds.
man i love being a hawks supporter, a lot of pain before 2007 but it's awesome to barrack for a good side :D

MajorLazer

The press seemed to be non-existent from both teams for most of the match and that's what made last night's game such a spectacle.

As a Hawthorn supporter I've copped a lot for even mentioning injuries that we have had in the past, but now that it's Collingwood fans complaining it's fine? We definitely had better players out anyway.

I know, freaking annoying. Every article/ collingwood fan you talked to says there players out, but we're missing 6 players as well.
And as if Hodge, Roughead, Shiels, Gilham, Puopolo, Bailey aren't collectively better than Beams, Didak, Tarrant, Brown, Johnson, Maxwell, Krakeour, Wellingham.
Pies have no depth, can't blame injuries, we were never allowed to in 2009

Hawka

Its rely pissing me off
collingwood just dont have depth. We even had Bruce,Ellis,Murphy and Young who arnt even injured and couldnt get a game
collingwood just have no dpeth
