Picked Scotland for the first time this year, was at the game and was pretty troubled by his display - as monty said, he lacked any flow or fluency to his game, and basically did nothing over the course of the night. can anyone who watches him more regularly tell me whether to worry? i know 75 is a decent score, and its only round one where hes historically not been great round 1, but he genuinely looked terrible, and im worried that this might signal that perhaps hes getting old or just losing form, and worst case gets a changing a role for less time in the midfield

me

i thought he played pretty well in his usual slutty outside role

MLS

Probably a slower start tonight and his hands weren't great, but I think he worked into it pretty well in the second half.

2 large cokes

definately wasn't his normal self. very happy with his score though considering. looked like he was playing a bit of a different role tonight. wouldn't panic though. this was a bad game. and still scored 75

jezzablue

looked to me like he got a bit of a knock in the 1st term, and it rattled him a bit...he ran it out and worked himself into the game..
i wouldnt be concerned...

Jukes

Scotland only deserved 50- scored 25 in junk time. Consider yourself lucky for those 25 points. Think of it as 25 points gained not 25 points lost.

Didn't have Scotto tho :D

Victorius Secret

#6
interesting stat -

last season round 1 vs richmond.

Scotland - 79pts
Carrazzo - 110pts

and tonights score
Scotland - 79pts
Carrazzo - 106pts

just relax.... but yea i traded out carrazzo for scotland at the last minute. i hope history repeats itself.  :D

79 for a bad/average game is a good thing then right...

Holz

was hoping he would stay low as im looking for him as an upgrade target, only round 1 the score only stays in his price cycle once anyway.

He only got 79 and 74 last year against the tigers so nothing to worry about. Should bounce back next week he has knocked up the ton in his last 3 games against the lions.

I just love it when junk time saves the day, unfortunately i dont have jimmy so i cant experience it every week anymore.

Love Carrazzo. I'm hoping he can get back too the 100 average.  8)

I didnt go the 2 most expensive defenders in Goddard and Scotland, and that looks like a good option so far.

I have Broughts, Heppell, Carrazzo, Deledio and Waters as my 5 keepers, Birchall and Goddard to make up the 2 remaining spots.

carrots will get tougher jobs than he had tonight (sorry windy) and score less but he will still average 90-100 Scotland will warm up to his normal best and be elite fear not he will be a top 3 defender again like usual.

For sure. But he still gets the pill. A solid option IMO.

Have Scotland in my team too, so was especially attentive.

There seemed to be plenty of instances where the ball just didn't sit up for him (one cost him a shot on goal) or players' poor disposal to hiim meant that instead of mark-kicks he was picking up a loose ball and handballing over the top.

Games like that don't happen often (I hope  :-\)

If anything, Scotland's score last night just reaffirmed for me exactly why I want him in my team. For three quarters he had an awful game. He still managed to pull a 75 out of his ass. It's scary stuff.

Keep the faith, he won't let you down.
