what are your thought behind petrie? saad fell off the radar during pre-season for most. do you like him as a player?

The idea behind Petrie is that I am a big North fan and he was awesome for me last year, I am very biased but I still believe he is a fantasy gun and I'd hate to not have him in my team when he goes big. But any other suggestions around that price range?

Saad is still a temporary pick until teams come out. I'm still trying to see if it's worth picking Zorko on the field in the mids and taking Kennedy's ton but with Shiel, McDonald and Smith all locked in it's going to be hard. I could trade Saad to Zorko and swap Zorko for Zaha, but then Porpoise would be on the bench/downgraded to a rook and put on the bench. Probably not worth it just for Kennedy's score.

Saad I've traded to Smedts.
I'd prefer to keep Luey.

If I go Zaha to Redden I can afford Sidebottom/Monfries/Dangerfield instead of Petrie, but I lose the mid/fwd link on the field that I had with Zaha (Kennedy on the bench in the mids)

I think Zaha and Petrie is a better combo.

Not concerned with Bergers Achilles problems Roo Boys? He will be playing most forawrd I suspect this week given the naming of Hudson on the IC bench. Just concern with these sometimes you can play through but at other times they go bang.

That's true...I suppose you would know a lot more about the Lions then I would mate! So you suggesting the same move as Jayman said? Luey -> Jacobs and then I think I'll be able to afford Petrie to Cyril (Cyril+Buddy though :-\)

dont love zaha at all. the rest i like. dont really know what i'd do with him though b/c of the locked out players already.

I went Leuey to Jacobs myself. I would just move Zaha to forwards to replace Petrie and upgrade to Reddan or similar priced mid with cash available. If not impressed with Zaha maybe consider Sidebottom or Cloke depending on cash.

Well I ended up trading Luey for Jacobs and Saad for Smedts and Petrie for Pav pre round 1, this is how my team is looking now, pretty much finished.

Trades this week were:
Redden -> Campbell
Morris -> Carrazzo

Obviously for the next two weeks Goddard goes to the bench for Shaw with his suspension, I could have traded Big O for Campbell but I wouldn't have as much in the bank, I don't think Redden will play too much but if Campbell gets dropped and Big O doesn't get back into the side I won't have any ruck reserves :-\

With 5 trades left I might try and grab some fallen prems to make my reserves a bit more solid as my bench is weak. Hopefully either Elliott or Gibson peak when Goodes bottoms out...

Oh yeah, with the news yesterday that Sexton would be out for the season is it worth trading him?

Think a lot of coaches are faced with the Sexton Dilemna. He has not made much cash so any trade is virtually a sideways trade. He does however offer you a DPP to forwards and in that respect is probably worth keeping for the link allowing other cash cows to be upgraded. In your case if you upgrade Elliott to Goodes you have the luxury of swinging Zorko between mids and forwards using Sexton vitually saving trades and strengthening both benches. 4 trades then to use where needed
