I think people are picking Pendles mostly for the extra 20k, as it's very hard to differentiate the two. I'm in two minds about it, but at the end of the day I can put that 20k to good use elsewhere.

I'm going Swan simply because i have nothing to put the $20k to. But does anyone know why his NAB scores were so low?? I think he played more than 80% game time in all but one of his games.

Another reason is that Pendles is more suited to Buckley's game style than Swan...

I heard Dermott (or another talking head) on SEN say that the Pies were playing more 'corridor football' during the preseason than under Malthouse. Their defenders were looking for Pendles and Sidebottom (I think) to use their high accuracy by foot hit targets running through the centre square.

The Pies' previous game plan (boundary line and stoppages) suited Swan, as he was able to use his tank to hit packs and pick up those DT-friendly kick-mark-kick combos as the ball moved from stoppage to stoppage along the flanks.

Just a thought.
