Maybe after the first week you have unlimited trades but can only trade out the guys who aren't playing, so all your Brisbane, Adelaide, Collingwood and Bulldogs players are locked in, at least until next week

There should be a salary cap. Makes it harder and then everyone will have to have some unique picks insted of all choosing the same team made up of highly priced players.
