It seems that a lot of the Rate My Team teams are completely ignoring the byes and starting with more than two premiums per line.

This to me is utter maaaaadness. Surely the plan is to minimise the points that will be sitting out each week?

If you are someone who doesn't give a fig, please explain to me what is the benefit in having 100 points on the pine!?  :-\ :-\

My question to you is when do you want to finish upgrading your team? By my calculations you are going to get a minimum of 2 donuts. I also make it that you are going to require one of the bye weeks to have 3 players out in the forwards and the backs. So does it really matter if we start we 3 round 13 byes in the backs or 3 round 12 byes in the forwards.

I'm happy with taking three prem rd 13 backs nd 3 rd13 forwards into the byes.

it will take alot of luck to get away with 2 zero's over the 3 weeks,,
think the biggest hassle is the forwardline cause there really isnt any good rd.11 bye premiums to pick which means its probably a post-bye upgrade area for me.  since i dont want (3 rd.12's) and (4 rd.13) fwd prems come rd.12

Hope danger does I got him hoping for the season his promised pre-season. If his still in my squad come r13 his going to be more than a handy emergency to rotate between my mids and forwards.

I tried to Balance my team a little so i could work out how many premos in each line Ill need to beat my mates in my league matches come rounds 11-13. But if someone has 4 r13 defenders Im not going to rip into their choices.

Every premo you have will sit on the pine at one stage, so a bit of a stupid statement/question.

If you look at a 100 average player vs a 90 average player who doesn't have the same bye (if both are vying for 1 spot)

do those 90 points in 1 round really compare to the 200 odd more you recieve in total from the 1st player.

just an old saying nevermind....  yeah gia was just a risk i wasnt willing to take(same with dangermouse) i dont think he will be in the top 7 fwds this year and also didnt think he was good value either

I've just gone where I've gt a fair few premos for round 13 SO I'll probably fall that 1 round but the 2 other bye rounds I'll be pretty good.

Agree 100%. I have 3 round 13 prem backs in God, Lids and Scotland and 3 round 12 forwards in Fyfe, Chappy and Frontbum. I don't see why this is a problem either as they will be great performers throughout the season and hopefully will all end up being top 7 in their respective lines come the end of the season! It would have to be good to have an idea early, of where you plan on your 2 donuts coming from and then being able to make adjustments from there rather than having a max of 2 prems in each line and not really having much of a 'plan' to work with when the bye's come around...
