50+ disposals is impressive in any comp... but 50+ disposal isn neafl isn't the same as 50 disposals in VFL, same as 50 disposals VFL arent the same as 50 disposals AFL :P

SydneyRox

you are right, shows he knows where to go to get the ball. 18 touches in under 3qtr of afl was pretty damnngood for game 1 though!

Capper

The fact that Goodes has been spending time in the midfield to me means that Lamb wont come in for Walsh. It will be a tall for a tall and White will get a run

Mind you the height of Mitchell did surprise me, didnt think he was that tall

SydneyRox

they have to give white a go. tippett might be back next game but we need to keep pushing walsh/white/morton to improve and claim the spot

Capper

another 5 goals on the weekend in the 2s, but on a better note it was great to see the kids in the best on field again

But tabs Goodsie still managed to kick a good 4 goals or so and that extra tall to make Pyke/Mumford/Goodes/Morton + White just kind of seems awkward to me and I can't see White excelling at all with that many talls. May be wrong though

SydneyRox

we dont need white to come in and kick a bag. just play his role, which more than likely will be, keep your defender honest and dont let him get away to double team goodes

stew42

Yeah, White's role would be just to suck in a defender, stick at FF, and let McVeigh, Jack, Kennedy, Jetta, Mitchell, etc kick the goals. If White can take a mark, then that's a bonus  ;D

i haven't been following Tippett ... he hasn't been allowed to play NEAFL either during his suspension has he?

no way Horse will give him a game straight up surely??

SydneyRox

I cant see how they cant play him! Even if he is not quite match fit. playing at FF he should be able to last the game while he continues to build the tank, or they could sub him after 3qtr time for the first two games.

All reports are he is training the house down in an effort to prove himself for Rnd 13

the 2s play in NT though, so surely they will atleast give him half a game @ port rather than a full game in NT

Not too sure when BJAck was upgraded off the rookie list but good on him on getting a game.

Has been killing it in the 2s and got into the 1s ahead of Cutlet which is surprising.

Will be interesting to see if we do. No doubt Horse giving a couple of new guys a game in the 1s is a good idea. Here is our other concern
