QuoteThe Swans rehab group has continued to reduce in size in the latter stage of pre-season, with co-captain Adam Goodes returning to team training after a long layoff with a knee injury, and Nick Smith and Marty Mattner also taking part in team training for the first time last week.

QuoteYoung Swan Tom Mitchell will also return to the track for the first time this week after a series of frustrating injury setbacks.

“He’s just about to start training with the team,” Cameron said.

“Unfortunately he has had a bit of a bad run. He had some problems with his knee last year and then he finished the year a bit early with a foot problem and then developed another problem on his other knee in his pre-season period so we had to back off a little.

“He’s certainly very fit at the moment and he is team training this week and we’ll see how he goes over the next few weeks as to when he’s ready to play

In other pre-season injury news, Swans defender Rhyce Shaw will face a test at the end of the week after a calf injury sustained at training sidelined him for the team’s first NAB Cup clash, while ruckman Shane Mumford is likely to make his return from an ankle injury in the final weeks of pre-season.

I dunno about the Swans coaching staff, but I'd put in Lamb instead of Walsh.

Walsh is in there as he has kick ed bags of 7 (when Morton kicked 11) and 5 in the 2s the last 2 weeks.

The 2s have the bye and have taken Lamb over to get the experience of travelling with the team. Was never going to play

Not really fantasy relevant but will really hurt you guys - Lewis Roberts-Thomson out for 2 months following arthroscope examination of knee,

Capper

Cheers Ringo. Good news that LRT only needs a clean up but more bad news for the Swans backs with AJ already out and Shaw maybe coming back, but it doesnt look promising

SydneyRox

When will they bring in Lamb!!???

On the plus side, LRT being out solves the issues of who to drop when Tippett is ready....

Quote
SYDNEY SWANS
Harry Cunningham (knee) - 1-2 weeks
Alex Johnson (knee) - season
Sam Naismith (knee) - indefinite
Lewis Roberts-Thomson (knee) - 6 weeks
Gary Rohan (leg) - indefinite
Rhyce Shaw (abdomen) - 1-2 weeks
The Doc says: Shaw is slowly recovering but is limited in his sprinting and kicking power. LRT will be slow due to his limited run at training for another three weeks.

I thought that Naismith had a thumb injury, when did he get this knee injury??

good to see that cunners will hopefully be back in 2 weeks
