Depends if LRT is back or not

AFEV

Surely can't drop Pyke with the form he is in?

Capper

no not Pyke. I think LRT might go back and Armstrong, Lamb and Rampe to make way for LRT, Shaw and Tippett

Agreed, Pyke took around 4 excellent contested marks against the Hawks. Just after I suggested it in the crowd, Horse moved Pyke to the fwd line, and moved White to the ruck, basically sacrificing it, but giving us a damn good fwd target. White was awful though.

So is it too tall with Reid, Goodes, Pyke, Tippett, LRT, Mummy, Ted Richards all in the same team?

even if you have goodes in the mids, lrt and richards in the defende, mumford rucking, reid tippett and pyke forward is pushing it.

So is it too tall with Reid(195), Goodes(194), Pyke(200), Tippett(203), LRT(194), Mummy(199), Ted Richards(193) all in the same team?

If you include Richards as a tall then you have to include Grundy(192) as well as MAttner(189), Eski(189), ROK(188)

we cant have enough.

Rough(193), Buddy(196), Hale(201), Gibson(189), Gunston(193), Stratton(189), Birchall(193), Lake(195), Bailey (206)
Daw(195), Goldy (201), Petrie(197), Ziebell(188), Black(192), McMillan(188), Atley(189), Hansen(197), Sierakowski(187), Wright(188), Thompson(193), Firrito(190)
StevieJ(189), Enright(187), Bartel(187), Smedts(189), Thurlow(189), Duncan(187), JPOD(193), Blicavs(198), Taylor (193), Mackie(192), Lonergan(197), Hawkins(197), West(198) plus 2 at 196.

So thats 11 Swans over 187, 9 Hawks, 12 Roos, 13 Cats

I read what Pyke said and liked it, which was basically, if we pick the form players it doesn't matter the size.

If our forward line is

Reid                     Tippett     Jetta
LRT/Resting Ruck   Goodes     Mcglynn

And they are all playing well, will be a nightmare for opposition to match up on.

Not to mention with Johnson out, LRT will most likely play as a defender on the opposition resting ruck.

Mitchell to come in this week or next IMO.

We need a spark. Everitt and Morton were poor on the weekend.

We really missed Shaw and LRT in defence as well on the weekend

Capper

The rooster is back to training

http://www.sydneyswans.com.au/swanstv/swans-hq/injury-update

on other news Shaw has a groin strain as well as the abdominal strain

We need another back as we are currently not sure whether to use Armstrong or everitt atm. Brown may also get a game.

My thinking would be Morton out for White, Walsh out for Cutlet/Mitchell and maybe Everitt out for brown

I would love to have Spangher back at the Swans atm

SydneyRox

Look out world. Mitchell named as emerg this week.....

Capper

But still no Mattner or Shaw. Looks like Shaw will only start skills training this weekend/next week so he may not play next week either.

Mattner still sore and is no certainty for next week either.

Good to see Naismith on the road to recovery.

I should've included Grundy as he's the 2nd KP back. I'm only talking Key position players, so th Stevie J's, ROK's, Birchall's i'm not really counting. :)

So playing Pyke, Reid, Tippett, Goodes up forward, Mummy in the ruck, Richo, LRT, Grundy down back. Is that too much? It feels like alot, especially when you need to play Jetta, McGlynn fwd aswell.

Whichever way the coach chooses to play it's a scary-looking Sydney team. :o
