We've had 2 players kick over 50 goals this season (Porplyzia, Tippett) for the first time in our history plus we've got Knights who I think is on 42 now.
Its hard to believe that last year we literally had no "real" targets up forward and now we've got so many that someone as talanted as Taylor Walker cant get a game at the moment.

But do you think its the Crows best forward line ever, dont forget we once had Modra and Jarman in the same forward line who were absolute superstars.

remember that Modra could not make GF teams even though he was on fire

secret is pressure and the crows certainly have that

"remember that Modra could not make GF teams even though he was on fire" ...

Tony Modra went surfin', Victor Harbour way ...
Packed the board and went surfin, and the Crows won anyway!

Yeah I know that but I highly doubt we would of made 2 grand finals without Modra, he was our top goal scorer in both years with over 80 goals and in my opinion he's up there with the great forwards of all time.

Just by what everyone says here on FF tells the story doesn't it.
The best the Crows have ever had was at best 2 decent Fwds.
The Great Mods (who is a Westies Boy) was playing in our Footy & Cricket League for Encounter Bay is still a Gun Player. His Marks and Snaps around the corner are still on the money.

The Crows have never had a Tall option that has the potential to become a true Goal Machine like Tippett before. IMO with age and maturity he could become one of the spearhead Fwds like a Riewoldt or Brown or Pav. He will be better than Mods gauranteed.
Then add in the Porps, Knights, Burton, Hentschell (lesser extent) and you've covered Jars for sure.
Yep it's definately the best Forward line the Crows have ever had and The Fat's excited by it all.

Hawks_1976

Throw Dangerfield into the mix too. Although I see him starting to spend more time in the midfield next year onwards. ( Great fantasy option for 2010! ).

Adelaide really missed Bock against the Pies. He is a rock down back.

Should Burton and/or Hentschel play on next year? IMO only one should stay next year.

They've got some tough calls to make in the next few months. Taylor Walker will almost certaintly be a starting 22 player next year so someone's got to go. They said on the news a few hours ago that Hentshel will be offered a new contract in the coming days. I really worry for Burton though I want him to stay but he could be the one that gets the cut due to his age. It's a good problem to have though, depth is something we've lacked in previous years.

As for Tippett if he left I would be flowering devastated, he's the main key to a Crows flag in the next few years. My opinion is he'll stay but I wont get my hopes up to soon.

CFC The Fat bloody hopes so. The boy should team up with Warnie on the Poker tour, with a pokerface like his there's big money to be made.
It almost makes you think if the Premiership was won next year the possibility greatly increases. That will be the reason for him to stay (A Premiership) The way he finished this year there's gotta be lots of $$$ thrown at him behind closed doors by the opposition. Time will tell.

Burton, Hentschel will both go on. N.Gill delisted

roo boys!

Yes it is their best fw line and should guide them to a top four spot next year! (fingers crossed)
