Having a lot of second thoughts about my final spot in defense.

The cash I save getting Waters is not a big factor, it won't allow any significant upgrades with the rest of my team basically locked.

I am looking at the Brisbane boys because they seem to very unique. They don't seem to be getting a lot of love on here though, what are the main reasons for that? I feel that with a fit Brisbane back-line (unlike last season) these guys get more attacking setting-up play roles, hence nice scores.

i think heppell will give you solid scores throughout the year and should play every game  , also should up his average.
adcock will probably average the most,BUT doubt he will play every game
Hanley i like.  should play every game, but i think he will average less than heppell
  waters, if you like to gamble(will he be able to play more than 18 games?) he may be the choice and keep the cash for a slightly earlier upgrade

also do the byes matter?

i would go heppell , feels like the safer option

As none of these guys have the R13 bye I can work my bye structure around them quite easily.
What's up with Adcock not playing every game?

Broughton is already in my team Whatlez. Just loading up on more defenders on the cheaper side ;)

   with adcock just have a look at his profile, doesnt have the greatest record when it comes to injuries, but that ofcourse doesnt mean it will be the same this year....or does it?  ;)

I like adcock!! trust me he'll gun it this year, i woulda had him but JUST squeezed broughts in for him, he'll be a decent unique to add to your uniquery too.

Already have Deledio.. and Ellis.. and Morris. Houli would be a little much. Plus they have that unfavourable bye round.
I'd have like 2 premo's playing!

Looks like Waters has taken a lead in the voting. Do people actually think he'll average higher than the other 3?

Also I need some more convincing on Heppell. My concerns are he's only a 2nd year player and that can spell disaster. He also had several fairly average scores in there last year in the 50s and 60s (even after what could be considered time to gel into the squad).

Just sayin, in the DT Strategy section I posted a link about how the highest increase in average over the top echelon of midfielders was in their second year, and that the highest number of average decreases was in the third year. Of course, it might differ for someone who had such a ripper first year.

However, he has bulked up, and will only be fitter and have better game sense, as well as being in the midfield/half back group.
