Well this looks like the latest update on Zorko

http://www.lions.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/5085/newsid/131492/default.aspx

Quote"Only Captain Jonathan Brown (cheekbone), Brent Staker (knee) and Dayne Zorko (hip) remain on the casualty list"

So I'm not sure if you can afford to do the emergency loophole if he's still injured...

klankers

hmmmmmmmmmmmm

Seriously want to put kennedy on the ground. I would be happy with Hall/Zorko/dickson, as all will be playing soon. This is my only stumbling block.

picker_man

you wouldnt want hall or dickson either could easily play this wk

Justin Bieber

So after reading that's he's on the injury list, is anyone keen on doing the loophole to get Kennedy's score? I know I want to  :-\

colmullet

im really considering it aswell, id jump on board if there was some word on zorko being back before round 4

Holz

it feels bad being happy when a player is injured, i wish him all the best of luck, but right now he looks like a fantastic downgrade target, playing round 6 would be nice.

colmullet

yeah its unfortunate....if only neale was a MPP he would be perfect to get kennedy's score in

forgot the score unless you think you can win the weekly prize this week, pick the best player, not worth it for 30-40 points if you lose 5 each week

underdog11

How far would you say he is off playing?

considering the report says guys like docherty will require significant match practice to enter the team, i would expect once zorko is fit to have the same, i dfeinately wouldnt be picking him in my team when there is a whole bunch of players who are playing now.

Spite

I reckon he will be back at about round 6-8, so a perfect downgrade target :)

PowerBug

If the lions are wanting to play him, and he's injured i'm more inclined to get him. Only because of the Kennedy thing.

You are willing to wait 6-8 round with a player scoring zero every week and not making money?!? You crazy! :P
You need all the money you can get, as quick as you can! :)

PowerBug

Is he out for that long?? If so then probably not. I thought it was only a 1-2 week thing.

from sc threads

From Brett Burton (on the Lions' website):

"Drummo and Docherty will be playing in the reserves this weekend, and Zorko is going really well, he's back running and building up his loads and volumes - should see him back in the not-too-distant future".

I know that's not too specific about Zorko but by the sounds of things he should be playing in the first half of the season so a perfect downgrade option.

AND

From thge Lions NAB Cup Review:

Meanwhile, Dayne Zorko (hip), Andrew Raines (knee) and Brent Staker (knee) are the only players not to have played in at least one pre-season practice match (including seniors and reserves) in 2012. Staker will obviously miss the entire season following a full knee reconstruction, while Zorko and Raines are expected back early in the season.

quite pleasing to hear, no?
...loophole or not  ??? ??? ??? ???

:P
