Really happy with this team, give me your honest thoughts and link me your team and ill return the favour

Binga

Pretty Solid, Not sold on Hargrave or any of the mid priced back for that matter. 9/10 Will score well, just make sure you use your trades wisely and you're in for a good year.

Fireballz

Solid team mate I can't criticise it.

As Binga said, I'm not sold on Hargrave but a lot of other people are.

roti

thanks guys, i definately can see hargrave averaging 80+ playing the birchall/suckling role, the dogs look to be playing the hawks game-plan of chipping around the backline. lots of +6's to be had.

Binga

Get on Christian Howard then, Scored well in Nab. Young and can only improve.

roti

can't see why he is a better option then hargrave!

Binga

Because Hargrave is old, and Howard is gonna be rotating between half back-wing. Sweeper! Lots of easy +6's, more than Hargrave.

roti

that being said if he starts to have the kind of impact he would need to have to average 80+ teams would catch on and give him a bit of attention. naturally he will probably struggle with this being young. hargrave has proven he can do this and also is 20k cheaper, i dont have 20k haha, its an interesting discussion though.

Good side mate. Only suggestion I have is to create a DP link between the mids and forwards, to cover things like McDonald's suspension. Howard or Hargrave is 50/50 and Conca could be an alternative if named.

Here's mine - Zorko in the forwards as I had Kennedy as an Emergency. Sidebottom creates the DP link (this may all change if Magner gets named R1). I know my backs will be criticised but will be where my first upgrades are.

Salary cap left: $37,100.

Andrew Carrazzo, Heath Shaw, Reece Conca, Mitchell Golby, Ryan Hargrave, Brandon Ellis, Tomas Bugg
Jacob Townsend, Steven Morris

Scott Pendlebury, Matthew Boyd, Gary Ablett jnr, Tom Rockliff, Steele Sidebottom, Stephen Coniglio
Dylan Shiel, James McDonald

Shane Mumford, Jonathan Giles
Jarrad Redden, Orren Stephenson

Lance Franklin, Adam Goodes, Nathan Fyfe, Dustin Martin, Jordan Lewis, Devon Smith, Dayne Zorko
Adam Kennedy, Aaron Hall

thanks mate.
this leads into my point about your team but i dont think the DPP point link will be this important this year with two-way trading and easier byes situation. i dont think your team selection will revolve around it.
my advice would be too put sidey up forward for lewis (magner will play) and upgrade 1 or 2 of your backline midpricers to premo's (coming from a tigers man i think its more then likely conca will start as our sub on thursday).
good luck!

Thanks Roti, team if Magner gets named is as follows:

Salary cap left: $57,700.

Andrew Carrazzo, Heath Shaw, Grant Birchall, Beau Waters, Mitchell Golby, Brandon Ellis, Tomas Bugg
Jacob Townsend, Steven Morris

Scott Pendlebury, Tom Rockliff, Gary Ablett jnr, Matthew Boyd, Stephen Coniglio, James Magner
James McDonald, Dylan Shiel

Shane Mumford, Jonathan Giles
Jarrad Redden, Orren Stephenson

Lance Franklin, Adam Goodes, Nathan Fyfe, Dustin Martin, Steele Sidebottom, Jamie Cripps, Devon Smith
Dayne Zorko, Adam Kennedy

Have already used Townsend, McDonald and Kennedy as emergencies, so will put Zorko in for Cripps and take Kennedy's 116.

i like it Roti 9/10.
i like your original better, more to gain from porps good early run than having lake over clarke.

thoughts on mine?

DEF: Scotland, Goddard, Deledio, Broughton, MClarke, Ellis, Bugg (Smedts, Morris)
MID: Ablett, Boyd, Selwood, S.Thompson, Coniglio , Magner ( Shiel , Gibson)

not sure on gibson/magner/smedts/pfeiffer - might just be pre lockout paranoia.
