$50 says it's going to be a close game - decided by a goal or less.

My guess is 115-118.
Excellent job mate. :)
Called it.
Anyone wanna cough up $50?  8)

roo boys!

I was actually very happy with how the Goldy/HMAc combo was working...until the last 20 seconds!

dont worry we will get them next time, Swallow Wells looked good tonight just add in JZ and we have a pretty good mid, petire up front looks good.

Yep, but neither Petrie or Hurley really dominated, both played solid enough games (Hurley was probably better) was really expecting them to ultimately decide the game but it was more won in the midfield IMO.

Hurley was playing with 1 arm all night.

so he would have got about 4 if he got those frees.

Heppell if he learns to kick properly and gets a bloody haircut might be the next Hird.
Was a great game. McIntosh choked, but what can you do. It could have gone either way for most of the game.
Hardingham though, amazing stuff to get back out there, without him we would have gotten overrun from the lack of rotation.

Heppell has an amazing left footy, and his hair is sexy!

Coming out of the game on Saturday night we have,

Hooker (Test)
Hardingham (Test)
Hocking (Test)

Hooker doing his ankle, Hardingham his shoulder and Hocking concussed.

Zaharakis says Hocking seems fine.

Dyson, Lonergan and Carlisle played well in VFL and Steinberg kicked 3.

Carlisle most likely to come in if any changes are made.

Hibberd, Dempsey and Melksham all impressed me on Saturday.

Coming into this week i think we can win, it won't be easy, we always struggle against Port.

Next 5 Games:
Port Adelaide @ Etihad
Gold Coast @ Metricon
Carlton @ MCG
Collingwood @ MCG
Brisbane @ Etihad.

The thing about Hird was that he could kick the ball however he wanted, he didn't need to drop punt to kick the ball perfectly , he could kick what looked like a mungrel and get it to go exactly where he wanted! I think Heppell has the makings to be a player like Hird, I especially agree about the hair cut!

True. But this is an Essendon thread, I'm a Dons man. How could I ever tip against us? Haha.

FlipFlops

This weekend...The Power.

Why do we struggle against them so much? I read somewhere today we've lost 7 of the past 9 with some of them (not sure on the number) been at Etihad. If we're to seriously push for a top 6 spot then we can't be losing to Port at Etihad that is for sure.

Dons by 5 goals  ;)
