So do I. Bower has cemented his spot in the team. Any word on how Duigan and Jamo went in the VFL reserves (or if they even played this week)? I think with Collingwood having a tall forward line Carlton could bring them both in for Armfield and Russell. Pendlebury is the one Collingwood player who worries me. Lets hope Carrazzo can limit his influence.

im spewing...gotta play friday night so only gonna catch the first half....i reckon we'll shake em up. if we beat them the monkeys nearly off our back...
great we got through last week with no injuries...and a shower load of confidence, hopefully.

against the lions i didnt like the look of our 1st qtr...so crappy disposal and decision making.
but once they shook that off...watch out!!!starting to get that feeling off 1995...love it!

Am a bit worried about Friday's game b/c i'm unusually a bit confident. I have a gut feeling we will win fairly comfortably (6-7 goals) as i don't rate the Pies as much as i have the past few years. Think our confidence is far too superior at the moment. My concern is can we hold the potential we have when it really matters??!!!!!!!!

Mat0369

One thing I have noticed about the team this year is that they believe that they can win against any team. It is not an arrogance but more of a self confidence. After all the crap they were put through in the pre-season they as a group maintained their confidence. They were looking towards round 1 and trying to get a win. Champion teams have this confidence (Geelong is an example). A large portion of the game is mental and Carlton seem to have that mental edge. Hopefully they can maintain it because they will be able to push deep into finals if they do.

agreed...
when we are surging it doesnt look like anyone can touch us!!!

its about 4 hours out from the game...and ive got butterflies...and i know im only going to see the first half...
thank god for fox footy and replays!!!

go blues!!

The only thing I'm disappointed about is we were only paying $5.50 for over 39.5 points :( ...oh well i'll still take it!!! :))) As i said, the only thing i'm concerned with is doing it when it matters most and staying as injury free as possible!

That was a great win. It was an awesome game to be at. The midfield looked unstoppable. Some of the clearance work in the first quarter looked like a training drill it was executed that well. I have been very critical of Dennis Armfield in the past but all I have to say is wow. His efforts were amazing on the night, especially after he injured his leg to come and attack the contest while not even being able to walk. The whole team played well and that 1st qrt of football was the best I have seen them play in a long time. Bring on the Essendon game this week, hopefully they can keep up the intensity.

would have loved to have been at the game!! looks like im getting flown down for my birthday weekend in july...we play the tigers at the g...cant wait!!

gee essendon couldnt be in any softer position for us....im sure they'll be fired up to play us but it already appears theyre thinking towards the collingwood game a few days later, theyre talking more about that than this weekend!! maybe they think theyre a better chance against the pies...
otherwise the amount of injuries essendon have, they dont look like a threat at all!
