Marty Clarke

If Marty Clarke plays then he has to be a lock ... at that price he will clearly go up considerably.
The question is ... will he play round 1?

Who are the alterniatives?? Bower??  Guthrie??

I currently have Gibbs and Lake ... but i am considering going Mitchell and Clarke instead?

Any thoughts appreciated ...

Marty will be a lock this year. He kicks way more than he handballs, and he is accurate. Shaw will play on a wing a fair bit this year, meaning Marty is the man to bring it out of defense with his long, accurate kicking.

i think he will get his chances early and prove whether he deserves to be in the pies 22.

expect a variation average of 70

That is my concern ... if he is picked i think he is a lock.

But it is almost impossible to tell with blokes like Clarke and Bower will play round 1 and how many games they will play this year.

should be almost a certain starter for round 1.

pies gave up a fair bit for him.

also, good TOG in the final nab games to adjust to afl.

he's in my team but if he's not there in round 1 i get buggs ton  :)

and bower is a depth player. i think he wont be there when carlton key defenders return from injuries

That's a good point VS about getting bugs 100 ... so will I ... i would expect if Clarke doesn't play this week he will in the next few weeks anyway.

Unconvinced about his JS and I'm beginning to think there are others choices that cost less and can perform on a similar level.

fair enough, i think thats the only real concern with any1 considering him is JS.

hopefully he plays enough early, i believe he will. well hope anyway :-\

@charliesheen - who has been job security at the same price ...

I would suggest Bower and Guthrie have very similar job security ... perhaps Guthrie has better JS for round 1 but may go straight out r2 if Enright and Hunt etc are fit.
