Is it worth it?

Ok.
So I benched Bugg (e), McDonald (e) and Hampton (e).
That's 103, 98 and 81 pts worth on the pine unless someone doesn't play for me on field.
They are now locked in that position.
All my other players are expected to play.

Should I trade out one player now in each line for a non starter next week to ensure I can grab these points.
eg. Morris for Docherty, then bench Ellis..and grab Bugg's 103  :-\
This won't cost me anything at the minute, but if Docherty or another equivalent non starter in any other line takes weeks to come into the selected side then it ultimately may cost me a trade down the track..and leave me short on back up.

felsty

Why do it unless its someone like neale who you know prob play round 2

Justin Bieber

Yeah try the Lachie Neale in the mids??

Backs hope Morris or ellis isn't playing. Or maybe Nathan Bock?

Also I what about forwards? What do you think is a good option to get in the forwards Rooster?

Also Bugg score 97*

2 large cokes

treloar or zorko in fwds?

I wouldn't change my preferred choice just to get a score on the ground. What happens if the player you were going to choose but leave out scores more than your emergencies? You'll be kicking yourself!

Pretty sure Zorko's injured. Why would you carry an injured player on your bench when you only have 2 on the bench on each line?

Didn't check official scores  :-[, just took them off FF main page  :P
If I was to do it I'd probably trade in Zorko for Kerridge (if he's named) and play Zorko.

Just reading through the other thread in P&T, Bock is an option  :-\

He will come in, and the strategy is that my primary bench will be enough cover. Saves you a trade bringing him in in a few weeks when he's on the bubble.

Colliwobblers

Zorko and Docherty are fit but need match fitness according to recent article from Voss. Both great options but both a risk as anyone is not named, bock out for 2 or I would run him in SC only.

Ziebel another but not for me. Didak ?

I would prefer to use mid priced / premium options for this strategy as you could end up with a rook who doesnt play for 4 or 5 and that would hurt more than the points loss you get for having tons on the bench if your starting rooks only score 40-60.

The upside a LOT of people are in the same boat and a lot of people will get it wrong round 2 or 3 or 4 or 18 when you might get it right so think you have to accept there will be rounds when you get it wrong and rounds when many others get it wrong and you get it right, don't risk your season for one round. Tempting as it is.

upthemaidens

would not do it for all 3, its too risky..  maybe just 1 of them, but only if its a non rd.1 player that u were happy to take anyhow

Justin Bieber

The only person I'm considering is zorko.

Chopps

i am with colliwobblers, it isnt a sprint dont sacrafic your overall chance for one round

Crows84

there was no league comp in the early rounds so why does it matter? if your going for overall and going to have to use trades early that may be crucial later in the season i think it may put you on the back foot early on

elephants

I can do any one of my mid-pricers to Bock. I am considering.

I wish I had Kennedy though...
