SC is no harder than DT and DT certainly is no harder than SC

SC is more involved in researching your players but NO HARDER to play, you just have to know who is an efficient user of the ball and who is likely to stand up at the right time and impact the result of the game.

Actually playing the games of DT and SC pretty much exactly the same.

Knowlege required to play each - maybe slightly more required to play SC well.

I might be just a little immature, but there's nothing wrong with that :P

I completely agree with you that they're both close.
I think adjusting from one to the other is a bit difficult though. The scoring systems are much too different, with SC being much more in depth.

However I must say, DT is far out in front due to the app, and the news articles being free.

Supercoach requires more footy knowledge and the players prices are also adjusted differently (more expensive) so it is harder. Dream team is for amateurs.

SC requires more research. Doesn't that make it harder. I much prefer sc. Reflects more on a players performance

RiOtChEsS

only DT'rs would say that :P

disposal efficiency and where u get it in DT doesnt matter where as in SC it does, hence SC is more difficult

Rubbish . How is it harder when everyone else is in the same boat? It's all relevant. Just because you cant buy the same team you can in DT does not make it harder as everyone else has the same issue it's no different. It hardly requires knowledge when stats and player rankings require the click of a mouse.

scoring is harder to calculate, but you do have to select players that have high efficiency rate

I seem to be one of the few that genuinely enjoys both DT and SC. I think you would have your head in the sand a bit if you didnt understand that SC is harder in the sense that more study is required and its not just a possesion game but as i play both the work i do overlaps into both codes and compliments each other. Win win for me.

I think if you only play DT then they may not be aware of the extra stats you need to take into consideration, take efficiency for starters.
This is of no concern in DT except for forwards infront of goals, but is massive in SC across the ground.

I really get a buzz playing both codes and i hope they are always free to play, not happy with where SC is heading to be honest.

Not exactly true, given SC calculates scores on players who do things at a particular time that influences the game, a player on a losing team can rack up a ton of possessions and be etremely efficient and good but due to being on a losing team and being unable to change the outcome of the game he will score badly in SC regardless. This makes the players performance in SC slightly irrelevant.

But in general i would have to agree SC "tries" to be more relevant to players true performance than to just count the stats as DT does.

At the end of the day you like what you like you prefer the one you prefer so everyone is right :)

Colli that's probably the one thing that annoys me about SC, a goal at the death although i concede is a valuable goal but to add on 40 points for it is a bit silly but others like it. I don't like that someone gets to decide was that kick to advantage etc if you know what i mean. A hybrid combination of the 2 codes taking the best from each would be good.

For who? We dont calculate our own scores so it  makes no difference. When you look at the player rankings the best SC players are sitting on the top of the list it's the same in DT how is it harder to pick the dearest player in SC then in DT?? it's not you just click on the guy at the top. Like i said all stats are available at the click of a mouse there is no more skill involved in playing SC then DT you just look at a different row of stats.

Official site of the AFL runs DT .. Thoopercoach is run by the Heraldsun .. i rest my case
