Adam Goodes vs GWS(and other lesser teams)

Unfortunately for me and those who have him it looks as though Goodsey will do it again. My fears have been confirmed. Ok he got 90 but what happened to people's 150 prediction? He always starts slow. He always plays better against good sides and seems to just coast against lesser teams esp. when Swans are kicking butt. And like I said in my other posts,why would the coaches risk their best player when they can rest him up forward and on the bench?I only have myself to blame for listening to everyone and not my gut feel. He will now score similarly against other lesser teams in the first half,go down in price and be the perfect upgrade target for those who knew better and picked someone else.

You are 100% correct, but don't beat yourself up about it he is one of the most picked players in bot hDT and SC so your far from on your own, and he will go better in the next games, I think looking at both sides tonight it was hard out there hot and hard even for Sydney, Mummy didnt do much bolton didnt score as well as he could have, even tho there were a bunch of high scores on both teams there were a lot of scrappy nothing possessions and a lot of sydneys possessions were uncontested marks and kicks.

Goodes will improve and get you a 90+ average for the first half but your right he will be a better upgrade target always is.

Thanx for the support guys. Only my second serious attempt at SC, still learning. But I KNEW this would happen. As I said should have trusted my gut but being a relative newbie I listened to everyone,none of who agreed on Goodsey

It's one game, and a score of 90 is acceptable. Might score 130 next week. You pick your premiums for 22 games, and Goodes will be as good as any.

settle down it was one game. If hes still on a 90 avg after 3 rounds then I would be a ittle dissapointed but one game means nothing. Im more annoyed that I went with mummy as my captain.. He dominated when falou was in the ruck but was beaten when giles was in. lesson of the day... Ablett is the captain. ALWAYS

ended up picking goodesy, na no reason to really concern ourselves! i had to work and couldn't watch the game, but if he just got a lazy 90 from not doing much then thats fine. i thought he was injured or something by the sounds of the posts!!

You know what I mean. My gut feel was that he was going to repeat his usual slow start to the season. Stats show this and against my better judgement I picked him anyway, thinking that this year could be different. Just angry at myself for not trusting my gut that's all mate.

have faith mate. Pendles may come out and score a 90 in the first game dosent mean it all over u picked him for a reason. i have faith he will do better. 1 of my first picked with Franklin and Ablett. 2 goals he would of been 100+. Quinny what were u thinking> i talked a mate out of making Mummy capt. today i shouldve let him learn from his mistakes.

Boyd scored 74 in round 1 last year. Backed it up with 8 centuries. If Goodes can score 90 without trying he will get some huge scores later. He'll try next round and that's when his season will get into gear.

a premium is allowed to score in the 90s once in a while, its not the end of the world.
