Had Conigs starting on the ground and put up 53, was slightly disappointed. He looked impressive in everything his did though and i can see him improving. He's been compared a fair bit to Swallow last year and Swallow only managed a 58 in his first game... then went on to post a n 80, 96 and 81.
What is everyone's thoughts on Conigs?

looked good tonight, i just cant see him justifying his price tag especially when you see guys like bugg, mcdonald, kennedy doing well. I would expect conigilio to easily get more total points this season, but for me rookies are only to be used to make cash and get out of my team asap.

As you say, every he did looked great. First game, give him a break.

Whose to say next week Kennedy does flower all. Rookies will be up and down, it'll happen. Just gotta live with it.

It was a seriously weird game. How often do you see a team get smashed but have four guys score 100+ compared to only two for the opposition?

Yeh, his first quarter was solid, I think he scored in the 20s then went missing but showed some brilliance breaking tackles and clearing the ball.. I think he will average as good if not better than swallow and I reckon he still has value, even at his high price.

I think he handballed abit too much aswell, but he did good, got a punch or something i think.
just hope he bounces back and just guns it round 2, hopefully the two weeks to recover helps. He'll gun it next wk 80+

to be fair, he was playing sore, went down with little tweaks like 2-3 times tonight.

140 next week he owes me! Gun I reckon he will come good get better and better and be the last upgraded mid.

I got the impression he was so used to being elite against his opponents that he fealt he had more time than he actually did, he got caught a LOT with the ball, so I think he will now have a new appreciatin for AFL footy and adjust his style accordingly.

I watched the game and saw the live scores at half time and couldn't believe it! He played tons better than his score shows.

He'll be fine for the next couple weeks and will average 80+

It's his 1st ever AFL game, I think he played pretty well.

Power, Scully to come into the midfield next week so Coniglio should get more freedom and loose ball.

I think he'll fire in the next few rounds
