Ticks & crosses - (very!) early on

Well, well, well. I know it's only halfway through the first game of the first round, but I already have an inkling that I may have loaded up on too many GWS players (7). Even the bigger bodied younsters like Coniglio & Shiel don't look 100% at home in the hustle & bustle of an AFL game, but I'm confident they can improve. Wondering if I made a blue getting Budd down back instead of Mohr - who has impressed the hell out of me with his spoiling, marking & long-kicking/rebounding out of the back 50.

Also, in hindsight it looks like I possibly could have started with Giles instead of Mummy & lost very little - Giles has been very impresssive, with scores very similar at halftime.

But it's not all bad.

I am so relieved I stuck with my gut & got J Mac - suspension or no suspension - he has proved to me that he will be the perfect cash cow - mature body, in everything, tackling, getting clearances & he's got a cool, experienced head to withstand the heat in the kitchen.

And I must admit that until a week or 2 ago Kennedy (GWS) wasn't even on my radar, but I've been very happy that he is in my team so far, having shown some impressive signs.

Now for the second half... Let's watch!!

Shiel has been disappointing so far, though has done some good things his disposal has been poor. (Now vested!)
Coniglio - fail so far! (Glad I went with Caddy!)
Hampton - Excitement machine! Reminds me of that GCS bloke from last year though - Matera (Glad I put Kennedy in instead)
