To all those people saying "we're not playing netball here", you're idiots.
Yes you can say we're not playing netball, and we all want to see big hits and bumps but that's irrelevant. The AFL has a specific set of rules and the MRP interpret incidents based on these rules - not based on how fans don't want to see a game of netball.
"The game is getting soft". Irrelevant.
MRP has cracked down on bumps and head high hits over the past few seasons so I'd be particularly worried if I were McDonald. There was intent, it was reckless, head-high AND he left the ground (which is the worst thing he could have done).
It doesn't matter if the umpire didn't pay a free kick or report him, that's what match reviews are for (To spot incidents umps may have missed behind play etc or deemed insignificant). Players have been suspended before for incidents where free kicks weren't given, so I don't see this helping his case too much.

Catchya later McDonald. 2 weeks with an early plea and a good record.

BTW - I don't have McDonald or Parker and I don't follow either teams.

It's attitudes like yours that are making our game weak as piss!

Are you really that stupid?! Did I ever say that those were my views? I hate the fact that he got rubbed out for 2 weeks, I was clearly stating that the MRP will judge the incident based on the AFL's increasing attitude towards protecting players heads. You are an absolute moron, read what people write first... Sit down for a day, think about it and let it sink in. Think about what you want to say, ask someone else if it's acceptable (because you clearly shouldn't be allowed to speak for yourself because you only have half a brain) and then don't say it, because you and your friends are probably the stupidest people on the face of the planet. So keep your spastic comments to yourself.

I love tough footy, I love head high bumps..the best highlight reels on youtube are afl hard hits. The AFL doesn't. Don't get us confused.

i reckon 3 weeks down to 2 was about right, he lined up parker had no intention for the ball hit parker head high with force and parker went off the ground anyone who thinks he shouldnt of got off is either a moron or buyest in some way. Of course it isnt netball and the bump is great to watch but how can someone intentionally go to elbow someone in the head who does not even have possesion of the ball and get away with it he should know anyway he was on the panel last year

TheMailman

He fractured Parker's jaw

Any of you up for that? I doubt it

He deserved the two weeks.

SydneyRox

I have said it already, but I liked what I saw, loved the heavy contact - but the AFL dont. Parker is our for 2-3 weeks with a fractured jaw and I would not doubt that information would have also come into the MRP detail.
