I did not know Ayers Rock was in West Sydney. I also think the goalposts could be interpreted as oh just a new rugby team with extra goal posts.

Looks effen terrible they cant be serious, but anyway dont let me sway you here it is what do you think!

GWS also reminds me of a line of supermarket chains not a footy team.

Prospector_1

Looks like half a footy pretending to be "Foo" looking over a white stucco Spanish style garden wall that's been graffitied by Gary Warren-Smith.

ROFL classic line prospector. I have already started praying for good news this friday night!

Suppose to be some lovely ladies of the night floating around Sydney isn't there?

Even better I wonder if the West Sydney will have a float in the near future in the Madi Gras.

CFC 1979

i reckon they may recruit some from the madi-gras

BradStar

great comment prospector, is this team serious?

Yeah pretty ordinary logo for GWS, Gold Coast logo is better and fits a new club look I feel.

Yeah and Gazza is a bloody legend as well

What is with that half footy thing in the backround. Looks like some logo from a local Under 12 league. How is that showing Sydney and its culture. Gold Coast logo is a lot better. They really need to rethink this one.

Justin Bieber

Yeah not the best logo they could of come up with. Think its also a little bland with only the red and blue there.

Wes Mantooth

So theres the new logo/top. Don't mind the colours but name and logo look blah. I suppose the way western Sydney is growing though, 'Giant' is the right term.

Are they aiming for a muslim demographic?? I'm not sure that is the right market to be aiming an expansion club

Why?

That's only two pictures. Plenty of other pictures on the site of Caucasian people.

They aren't aiming at the Muslim demographic. They are aiming for the COMMUNITY at GWS. Caucasian, Asian, Aboriginal, Muslim, Lebanese... It doesn't matter at all, they all love footy :)

Sheeds has long been an ambassador of throwing racist stereotypes in people's faces. And if GWS has a dozen superstar footballers of the Muslim faith in 20 years, well, we'll be wondering why our clubs didn't do it first.

+1 Look at how Sheeds has helped grow the aboriginal race in AFL. Now everyone is on board
