8 Rookie Mids- ROUND 2 UPDATE

Yeah im pretty much thinking of dumping leuenberger for a rookie and then upgrading my backs and fowards a bit more.

still thinking about it though.

With the all rookie mid strategy i would want Cox and Mummy in the ruck.
The highest scoring positions on the ground are mids and those two ruck guns.

Personally the best strategy if you want to be a bit "out there" is to go all rookie/mid pricers in the backline.  So many options available.

Love your backs with all proven performers, but you also need all proven performers in the forwards to make up for your midfield being not so flash, but you have Gray and danger field who aren't Premos yet but could be soon

Also believe you need a player to be permanent captain in the middle!
I would re think your strategy champ, but if it pays off well done but it would be very ballsy!

Yeah thanks mate. Im hoping grey and dangerfield have a breakout year. i have just reset my lineup now and going on rough NAB cup averages my team would reach about 1970 points which i am happy with. That is without a captain as well. I know that NAB cup scores are not the be all and end all but it give me hope that this tactic may pay off

Honestly, I see no super-premium captain material, and only ten proven premiums.
That's extremely risky with 8 mid rooks. Good luck - you're going to need it.

could work but i think u need a least 1 premium mid.

i really wouldnt get bock and dont even consider folau.

i changed my team again and have 50k left now and im happy with my team so i think im in a good position now.

Hey crazyman,

Hale will need to be traded out so why get him now if you know he's going to cost you at least 1, maybe 2, trades to upgrade and is awkwardly priced and has a hoistory of back issues?

Hawthorn's first 7 weeks are every bit as tough statistically as Richmond's. You've got an awful lot of Tigers and Hawks in your team to start IMO.

McCarthy - rookie?

Anthony will score under 26 in a few games for you and then WAFL.

Need Ablett.

Yeah im thinking about sticking with hale though given his pre season form and the fact he will shoulder the majority of the ruck work early and amybe trade him off when he goes up in value.

Im not to worried about the draws and stuff like that with richmond players either i think that all the players i have chose should go pretty well.

Anthony i think will go pretty well and if not i will just trade him off. i am thinking about downgrading him though for another rookie but then i would have about 300K left over for future upgrades.

I was thinking about ablett as a permanant captain but i want to see if this stratergy works and can be productive.

I know McCarthy is technically not a rookie but he is having a fresh start at a new club so i am happy to include him. Think of him as my "premium mid" in a midfield full of rookies

One negative could be having both Morris and Ellis in the backs.

pretty poor strategy tbh...mcarty and caddy are duds get proper rooks and go all prems in other positions otherwise ditch the strategy
