The reason being he was once an unknown. Like many of the other GWS players from last year, no one really knew anything about them. Everyone prior to the summer was talking up tyson and congligio. How many people have them in their teams now? All it takes is a few people to share some info and the hype starts to spread throughout all the forums. Players originally thought, by having Shiel in their team was a little unique given the limited press on the kid. Now its totally changed and everyone has him in their team, so I can understand why you are raising this question. Regardless of the fact that he missed all NAB games, Sheedy has put him strainght into the midfield, I think that speaks for itself. Get on him!

pretty sure he was one of their better DT scorers in last year's comp(whatever comp GWS played in) VFL, NSWFL etc.,, thats why lots of coaches have him
