Because GWS and Sydney are the only teams this week, I can't trade them out or in for other club's players aftr this week.

This brings a big dilemma. Should I players that I know are playing such as Cunningham or hope that someone better like Ledger is playing next week?

May not solve the problem but what I would do in this instance and if suits your structure is select both.  Put Cunningham on the bench and if Ledger not named you could play him on the field and he takes Cunninghams score. It is a difficult decision with the partial lock out regards rookie selections as after this week you will be using trades. We have already seen the pitfalls with rookies with GWS not naming Darley who imo was reasonably certain to be named in Round 1

I cant beleive that Darley, Miles and Clifton (emg) were not named.I get the feeling there will be alot of rotating to keep the tired older bodies and sore young ones at bay. If you really like a player like one of these guys or another not selected for that matter i think you can pick them because they will get games you would think.

no what i mean is this:

i currently have these rookies in my mids:

l brown, pfeiffer, ledger, magner, shiel.

however, should i get cunningham becuase i know he is playing?

There are a couple of posts flosting around about Cunningham already. Go up and search his name.

In a nutshell the opinion is no -
1. He is very likely to wear Green
2. He will probably only play for 1-3 weeks as the role he has been playing is the same as ROK
3. He is an LTI rookie, which means that when Brown comes back, Cunningham goes back to Rookie

All these issues means, while he will probably score well, his JS mean that he might not get the 7-8 games in him to make a good cash cow.
