I'm a set-and-forget-ruck kind of DTer. I really want Cox + Mumford, but Giles allows me to have such a stronger team. Giles has the potential to score solidly but I'm kinda set in my ways. Convince me please :)

Justin Bieber

Yeah I'm against the 1-3 combo, I would cox-mummy if I was you.

Unless you are certain who the best two premium rucks are starting Giles is a good move, it's probably not going to be his best score against mummy but every other ruckman will be easier mummy is by far the hardest physical ruck. Against maric and others Giles outclassed them, don't worry about Giles he will be a gun.

As for round 1, if your brave and you have a 1-3 ruck strategy consider starting Redden.

the other thing in favour of 1-3 structure is stephensen WILL get better he is no rookie and redden and giles already have shown thier potential, so its 3 great cash cows.

if it makes you feel better cox looks past his best and nicnat will get 75% ruck time and mummy will get suspended :)

im starting mummy and the 3 rooks

i am starting hmac and giles on the field. that should make you feel much better.

Ballsy, I like it.

Giles proved he is startable with a ton last week :)

Chopps

1/3 combo allows you to get the next best ruck, set and forget means if you get it wrong you need to sideways trade

On a positive note, set and forget will give you the flexibility of having one of the juiciest cashcows (Giles) to upgrade to whoever you want, whenever you want.

Yeah but why would you want to bench 80 points and field a 60 point rookie somewhere else? That's a bit of a waste.

You dont need to have 60 point rookies on the ground...

I have a strange feeling that the 1 gun 3 rookies strategy is going to fall apart, or maybe i just like keeping people worried.

Its not hard to have a great line up with 2 premiums and 2 rookies. I would be cautious picking big cox too as he is likely to be rested now that nicnat is such a unit.

I honestly think giles will only score 60-80 points a week, and i know i can get more points than that with rookies on other parts of the ground.

and Chopps, dont get your premium ruck option wrong and you will be fine  ;)

Memphistopheles

I reassure you that if you have Giles on your field you will struggle compared to those with two premiums.

That is your opinion on Giles (which I think is a bit lower than what everyone else expects from him). That being the case, can you honestly say that there are other rookies in that price range in other positions who will average more and play every game?
If there are, please tell me so I can get on board too.

It is common sense that a rookie in a midfield or forward position will be scoring more. Maybe i am just pesimistic, but we shall see come tomorrow night.

Someone mentioned this last night, imagine the amount of people that will drop Giles and waste a trade if he only scores 30 - 50 his first week... 2 Premium rucks is not only safer, but its smarter. I have 2 rookie cashcows on the bench. And i have 2 solid players who are the #1 ruckman for their team and will score 90+ each week.

Most people expect Giles to get 70 odd. If you are happy with that, then so be it. Smith/Shiel/pfieffer/Ellis to name a few in misc positions who should average the same amount if not more. (not smokeys by any means)
