Not doing it myself, but the thought has crossed my mind.

Shiel played his first game this week and apparently slayed. Surely if he is as good as people think then he'll play early. Why not just chuck him on bench and wait.

If he stars say as early as round 2-3, is it really worth a burning a trade when you could have him from the start? And just hope for no outs?  :P

"At the Giants, the highly regarded Dylan Shiel is pushing for selection for round one after playing his first pre-season match in the reserves on Saturday."

I'm putting him on my bench..not all rd 1 rookies named are the best!!

aces-high

Im defs keeping him and magner on my bench even if they arent named rd 1

Holz

im keeping him but if he plays round 4 or after it will really cost me as people will simply downgrade to him after he destroys his first 2 games. The best case scenario for me is he is not named round 1 and than comes out round 2 and goes 80+

I have him and Magner on my bench regardless of whether he plays round 1. Gotta save those trades for the byes.... ;)
