Subject to round 1 rookies, this is getting close to final i think

DEF: Goddard, Lids, Shaw, Lake, Hargrave, Clarke, Ellis (Bugg, Darley)
MID: Ablett, Swan, Selwood, Shiel, Ledger, Magner (Miles, Pfeiifer)
RUCK: Mumford, Nic Nat
FWD: Franklin, Fyfe, Chapman, Martin, Dangerfield, D Smith, A Kennedy (Hall, Dickson)

$170K in the bank.. Comments appreciated!

Too much in the bank.
Need an extra premium in back.
3 'risky' types in defence could be made into 1 premium - 1 mid - 1 rookie.
Like your mids. Don't let them talk you into 4 guns here. Your rookies will make you money.
NicNat no for me but has potential. I think you'll need Cox at some stage so NicNat needs consideration or trades will be wasted.
Like your forwards.

Nice team, above withstanding comments.

thanks for the comments.

I have been considering downgrading Clarke to another rookie and then upgrading Hargrave to Broughton.. This leaves with only a couple of $K in the bank though..

Quotedowngrading Clarke to another rookie and then upgrading Hargrave to Broughton

That's a good idea. Then you'll have two rookies and a mid and an extra premium.

My opinion only of course, but $$ left in the bank is points left out of your team.  I have never and will never subscribe to having money in the bank at the start of the season.  To me, that just says you have no confidence in the rookies you have picked to generate the $$ you need to upgrade later.  Back your rookies in and get as many premiums into your team as you can.  The other issue is mid pricers.  Are they keepers or to be upgraded??  Personally, I believe you are much better to eliminate this eternal question when you have mid pricers and just not pick them.  At least with the Prems & rookies strategy you know exactly where you are at with almost every players in terms of them being either a trade up/down player or a gun keeper.

Yep agreed. I've made the changes.. The only mid pricer i have is Lake,  but i expect him to become a prem by end year
