Seems everyone is getting to the final stages of their team now, implying only minor changes to their on ground squad.

What i cant seem to lock is a group of rookies that i am comfortable with, different teams sporting different rookies everywhere. I know we need to keep our teams unique but i just wanted a view on what rookies you as a group think deserve that 'Lock Status'

At this moment in time im rolling with

Backs: Ellis, Morris, Darley, Bugg (Seems to be most consistent rookie position)

Midfield: Stevens, Smith, Kennedy, Magner (Magner and smith seem to be the go, thoughts on Kennedy and Stevens?)

Rucks: Giles, Redden, Stephenson (Redden and Giles seem to be very lockable, Stephenson has hype but who is bettter?)

Forwards: Hardest Position to Fill
So far ive gone with Kerridge, Couch, Pfieffer and then im unsure as to where to go, bearing in mind you need DPP players

Please reply with your inforamtion as all is appreciated!

Im finding the forwards the most difficult to choose.

So far i only have D. Smith and Pfeiffer as solid starters. The others ive got in the forwards are Hall and Saad.

I knew i shouldnt have done DT this year, i made the decision about 4 days ago, and guess what! Its totally occupied my spare time for those 4 days. Darn it doing my head in already!

Jeremy Cameron is also a good option. He wont put out huge scores, but he'll be decent enough to make you cash.

Hampton from GWS lock him in

Why don't you put Smith in the fowards & pick another mid. Plenty of mids to choose from.

Don't see any point in DPP at beginning of the year. Certainly need mid season.

+1

there are several in the 100-170k range depending on what you have left to spend

Presto

You could move either Kennedy or D. Smith to the fwd line, then consider Hampton Pfeiffer or Cameron.
In the mid consider  McDonald, Miles or Clay Smith

Dpp is going to be pretty useless during the bye rounds unless it is a ruck spot. Pretty much all it will allow you to do is choose what line and maybe what round you are going to eat your donuts, it will eliminate none, you wont have the bench space in your fwd mid or backline to accommodate any non playing dpp anyway.

in one of my early teams i had brown from the crows in the midfield who was a Mid/Def player that roated nicely with goddard or delidio to avoid a donut, so i think depending on what our dpp's have the bye there is potential to save either a donut or at the very least save  a trade

What that means is you would only able be to carry one round 13 bye in your midfiled  which means you would have probably eaten that donut in round 11 or 12  preparing to save that round 13 donut in your backline, or you have used trades getting rid of any other round 13 player ready to take Deledio or Goddard on your mid bench.Would Brown be  playing at that stage also?. it is allot of pre planning that probably wont even work. I don't think it's worth it this year.

If it was intended for use the other way around it could  work if you have cashed in your round 11 back rooks which again means an overload of round 12 13 players in ur backline , but carrying a rookie that probably wont play early games just to cover a rookie donut is probably not worth it in the long run.
Ive looked at dpp pretty hard and i cant see it working as i don't see anyone realistically having any empty spots on the bench without taking that hit in another round to create it.

yah i agree, no back.mid rookies standing up to make that link in book just yet
