hi.not sure if this has been spoken much about this?? or im yet to read about it???

hi guys. With the first game of the round being sydney and GWS is anyone a bit nervous that they might not pick enough GWS rookies???? or might pick to many??? what happens if u dont agree with loading up on GWS players and pick other rookie  options from clubs and find out the next week not many other rookies will play round one from the other teams!! wosre case..... (players like a couch, smith ect ect dont get named???) your then selling yourself short on tallent on the bench!!i feel safer picking most of my players from gws providing i think they have to goods!! once again pick 2-4 GWS rookies and LOOK OUT!!! u might just find other teams dont name the depth of rookies, your team will have wasted players!!

do u guys get what i mean????

Windigo

There is still a limit.

GWS will be rotating rookies in and out a lot more than other clubs.

Justin Bieber

Yeah I could have up to 7 gws rookies. Not sure if I can afford to have them all...

Plastic Boy

I've got 6 GWS rooks, can't seem to find any decent other rooks from other teams

my problem also mate!!! the likes of clay smith, couch weedon ect ect i dont see them getting many or if  (any ?) games early in the season!! i myself prob have 7 GWS players even though chances of them being rested during the year are high..... but then again why would sheedy rest young blokes after just a few weeks of footy???? rests will start mid season and by that time come i would have traded most of my GWS rooks out!! think about it why would sheedy rest a bug, darley d.smith in rounds 1-11 ( GWS bye round)

who thinks these young blokes are going to be rested after 2 weeks of footy??? crazy!!

anyone on the same page as me????

GWS vs swans is a nightmare of a first game to kick of the season.

im not sold on many of the other rookis at he moment!!! feel GWS is all lock and load!!

we wont have any clue on what the rest of the 16 afl team round 1 lineup is before and after the GWS vs swns lockout!!

I have picked the rookies from other teams that I'm sure will play early games. Guys like Magner and co i will keep in my side even if not named round 1, because i know he will play games.
As far as being concerned about who will be on my field round 1 i will play every GWS rookie i have that gets named round1, that way i have no concern if my other rookies don't get named to play or are vested. Wont be taking any gambles if a GWS rook is named and there is a spot on the field, he is getting it.

Windigo

Well technically we do.

Only GWS & SWANS players are locked after Saturday. The rest we can shift and change what we like.

But yes, the games on next Sunday will be problematic for rookies.

I do think players will miss games early. It will not be because he thinks they need to be rested, it will be because there are other guys who need to play.

Yeah the rotation policy isnt just about them getting tired and giving them a rest, its about everyone getting an opportunity to play and show what theyve got.

I've got 6 GWS rookies btw.
I reckon 6-7 max is good enough, no more than 2 in any position though

afl_freak2

interesting!!! but i must say i dont agree..... if gws rookies are rested not because of being tired but giving other players a go..... its a bit weird!!! sheedy wil know who his best 22 is and most of them will feature rookies!! early stages i dont see more than 2-4 more players coming in from the simple fact of giving others a go??? more so on the fact that there might be a few injuries which force them into the team!! you guys are talking like sheedy is going to rotate 10 extra rookies who are not names in the best 22 week 1???

S_Coach99

Load up the GWS oh yeah!

More opportunities through less experienced numbers.

Sheil and Miles are the two confusing me the most though. Both seem to have great pre-AFL stats, big raps on em, but they seem a bit touch and go as to how many games they'll play early.

Why are next Sunday's games problematics for rookies?

There is another partial lockout next week lads.

I cant see Sheedy rolling over and just toying around with the team this year just to give exposure to the GWS squad, he'll be trying to win and field the best team each week.

Come round 11 with the bye it will be time to cash in a few cows.

Bugg, Darley, Clifton, McDonald, Giles and D. Smith are still all in my team :)
