Need to pick one of these guys in my forward line. Which should I go for? Fyfe is an absolute gun, but can he keep it up this year? Martin is 50k cheaper, but will he be tagged? Or does Cotchin get the tag?

That;s a toughie. Both are extremely popular picks this year. I'd probs go Martin, offers the same but cheaper. I wouldn't worry too much about the tag, he's kiled it in pre season.

Both are must have imo!

In the starting lineup? Fyfe for sure. The kid's a gun.

Tigers have a tough early draw and historically Martin doesnt play well against the good sides.

Get Martin in your side later on in the season.

Yeah I have been trying to fit both in my team but can't do it! That's unless I put one of them in my mids in place of a premium.

whats this "historicaly" stuff about? martin and fyfe are only going into there 3rd years of afl football, there 20 years old.
they will both get better this year and will continue to get better in the years to come. your probably looking at the 2 future best players in the afl

History is history no matter how long the length of time. Martin hasn't got the consistency in his game yet and he does struggle against the top sides. Maybe this year it will all change but I like to follow the trends. Fyfe hands down.

ok but you still have to take in to account that at the age of 19 he struggled against good sides.. in a team that struggled. but his team are on the rise and he is a year older and looking very sharp judging from the pre season.
I chose fyfe in the poll but i have both in my side. If you dont think Martin can cope against the good sides early on in the year then i would leave him out and use him as an upgrade target because your deffinetly going to want him in eventually

I agree. Hence why I suggested to get him in later in the season a few posts above.

Fyfe is locked in, but I've had a change of heart on Martin.

No doubt he's a quality player but I will look to cash in a rookie and get him in when Richmonds draw becomes a bit easier. 8)
