Mid price defender risks

Having trouble picking who will be the less risky picks in defense. Thought it would help me and others out to rank the following players in terms of risk - B.Waters, N.Malceski, B.Smith, B.Lake, C.Dempsey, R.Hargrave, R.Conca, J.Grimes, C.Howard
Start with least risk to highest risk. Thanks Guys

Waters, Lake, Hargrave, Dempsey, Malceski, Grimes, Conca, Smith, Howard.

Thats my order just off the top of my head, I have Lake currently but wouldnt mind the extra cash to go to Waters

I couldn't possibly put them in order but of the players to select from I would choose Lake. He looks to be injury free and he is the only one on that list that has been able to consistently average in the 90's when playing a full season.
