Mid / Forward Rookie - Magner consideration

Hi team,

Current line-up includes

Mid: ablett, swan, priddis, selwood, - d.smith, d.shiel, t.ledger. pffifer
Fwd: franklin, fyfe, chapman, sidebottom, porp,--- j.cameron, s.kerridge, a.kennedy, weedon

Looking at swappiong Pffifer into Weedons spot then put magner in mids. I liked the fwd / mid swing option of pffifer however still have one.

How do i get magner in sensibly?

I like that move, you shouldn't really need a mid/fwd dpp until around midseason which is when Zorko should be back playing and in your team.

are u kidding?? u get magner in ther by getting rid of pffifer in your mids.PS kerridge will be the sub or be subbed off all year long!! weedon wont get many games,but honestly get magner in there ASAP!!

Need at least 2 fwd mid links, preferably 3 or even 4 if your serious about avoiding 0's with Sheed's rotates these kids, which is guaranteed!

3 or 4?!? I reckon 2 is too many at this time of year. Building your side around MPP links will lead to a weakened side. Your first priority must be to the quality of player/their scoring abilities (& with rookies, their job security).

Don't forget that the best players in the league are pretty much all single position players - Pendles, GAJ, Swan, Murphy, Boyd, Mitchell, Selwood, Cox, Franklin, etc. - which one of those players will you leave out to make sure you have the amount of MPP links that you are looking for?

Agreed about the importance of having an MPP link in your midfield, the more you can conjure up, the safer you are from the dreaded donuts.

It's all about balance really, no point in going for 3 MPP links if it costs you 15 points per week. The cost is 150 points before the bye round, something to keep in mind.

Smith into the forward line for any of those bottom 4 forwards, then move Magner into the mids. Keep Pfeiffer in the mids for a DPP link
