G'day guys,

Just wondering everyones thoughts on Coniglio and whether or not you believe he is a must have rookie in your team. He is pretty much the David Swallow of 2012, similar type of player, similar price and will most likely score around about the same. Who is going to pick him and bank the extra points he might make over a player listed at <$125,000 or take the basement priced player, who may well score less, but use the extra cash elsewhere?

It's a tough call, and as good as Swallow was last season for a cash cow, I just can't seem to fit Coniglio in no matter how hard I try. What's your thoughts?

Anyone not have him?

I think there is a range of midfielders so much cheaper, that could potentially average a very similar score.

The Bomber

i got him...especially if your playing a rookie as your 5th mid he is a must

generally first round draft picks are locks...why change this year???

bkimm32

Yeah some times certain first rounders have been locks, but their a more and more mature agers being recruited to fix up gaps in teams nowadays. You seen it first with Barlow and Podsiadly. Now their are a wealth of them who are bargain basement price, with mature bodys that could score as much as Conigs. Magner, Gibson, Pfeiffer, etc.

I don't have him...never intended too....D Smith, Miles, Shiel all a lot cheaper who don't need to score as well to make the same amount of cash.

Jay

i dont have him...purely because i think having caddy + coniglio is too much, i mean spending 400k on 2 blokes that have played 5 games between them...one or the other for me, and caddy is winning :D

Well looks as though at least one person is taking the same approach as me haha :)

im only taking caddy in that price category.

im not sold on miles js too be honest.

shiel will walk straight into that midfield when he's ready and with the other blokes like power, scully, coniglio im not sure where miles will fit in

to answer your question he's not a must, just depends on your structure. im going a 3-3 so im taking caddy for a bit of security for my on-ground rookies, but it could've easily been coniglio.

afl_freak2

if your not sold on miles...... chances are your not sold on any/many rookies just yet are ya??LOL

bkimm32

Well I'm not really going Caddy either, haha.

not questioning his talent only his job security, i have caddy, d.smith, ledger, shiel and magner. who would you take out for miles?
