on the eve of sc 2012 & the passing of jim stynes im putting up a tribute team of fallen players since i first tuned into a vfl game in 1978 on radio up the bush as a 10yo
backs-allan jeans/niel nobby clarke/les parish/sean wight/troy broadbridge/jamie tape/trevor barker-terry smith
mids-bob rose/chris mainwaring/maurice rioli/darren millane/dennis collins/darell baldock-wayne gordon/ron james
rucks-jim stynes/len thompson-mick nolan/jeff fehring
forwards-laurence schache/gary durrkhay/peter welsh/robert dickson/rhett baynes/steven clark/mike patterson-brent green/richard nixon

ive included 4 coaches in that time rose/jeans/baldock & patterson,got 29 so 2 em rucks/forwards/mids but only 1 em for other position.Didnt know about s.clark till i started this

i used to work with a woman in the mid 80s who im sure told me that a michael blees who played 14 games for st.kilda died at around this time,can anyone confirm or deny this?

geez yes he coached the saints in this timeframe,well he gets into the midfield with gordon or collins getting a seat on the pine with james-i probably only forgot the best player of all these guys with respect to thompson & rose
