Geelong midfielders may suffer?

Ive had joel selwood in my team from the start but after watching the nab cup ive come to the realisation that the geelong ruck division are really going to struggle this season which may effect the geelong midfielders scores as they are not getting the first use of the ball that they were from brad ottens. Can selwood sill rack up clearance numbers with the inexperienced ruck or would it be beter to look at other players in that price range like swallow, priddis, rockliff etc who play under ruckman that give them first use.. thoughts?

meow meow

Gazza averaged 140 in a year where Ottens barely played. If they're good enough they will score, no matter what.

Gazza is one in a million though
and this is the worst ruck lineup they have had in a long time

they had mark blake for a while
can it get worse than that?

imo more concerning is that Geelong rest to many players

Mark blake was still a good tap ruckman though.

trent west isnt too bad, and big O has proved in VFL that he can ruck and he will get that in AFL

also if they dont get first use its more tackles and stuff

Not all midfields need a good ruckman. Selwood, Bartel, Corey, Kelly and co. are all good enough to shark opposition taps and apply great pressure.

Plus West + Stephensen + Hawkins + Vardy (when he comes back) is a lot better than some other ruck divisons.

For example Hawthorn and WB have shallow ruck divisons but still have some of the highest scoring midfield players

Won't be an issue for Geelong by any means

donf pick any cats who go through the mids, i cant stress this enough!! not only will their sc scores be hurt i cant see them making finals with west and the big O  even though one is a premiership ruckman...

What? What?

That makes close to no sense.

Brad Ottens is the only ruckman to have retired. In the last three years Ottens has played a third of the games he could have. A third!

Ottens wasn't carrying their club by any means. The more I read the comment the dumber it looks.

You think the Hawks won't make the finals either now seeing as Bailey is injured?

Look at Collingwood. Jolly is pretty average these days with injuries and so forth. Are they going to make the finals?

I'm sorry but this statement is actually really weird
