Marc Murphy is un-taggable. He has missed one game in the past 4 years, and that wasn't because of injury. Could win the Brownlow.

Hmm, he scored poorly vs Bulldogs in nab Cup 2 cos he had the Picken tag.

So did Selwood. Picken is the man.

BJ....just not confident...could be the biggest mistake / masterstroke...If he performs, can get him in later anyway...wouldnt expect to pay too much more than 100K extra than what he is worth now...whats his role this year...FWD?

Lids & Dusty...Ill wait till rd 7 or 12...the ox is patient...or however it goes..will be the last pieces to the PLANNED jigsaw (form / injuries permitting)

TWest...for 30k more Im more confident with Hales scoring ability.

KHorsely...where he at?
I have similar thoughts on Goddard, however I can't leave him out due to the fact he played pretty crap last season by his standards and still avg over 100. And the lack of options to replace him with.
As for Lids I think always scores well no matter who he's playing. Martin I'm not so sure on, pretty sure either he or Cotchin will get tagged first.
Thanks for the replies guys, keep em coming. I still need more debate on Goodes,Cox,Pav and Rioli.

I had rioli in for about a month there.

The excuse I came up with is his competition for points in the Hawthorn side. There are a few players capable of scoring big, especially as Clarkson changes the players roles around a lot from week to week.

Franklin, Rioli, Birchall, Burgoyne , Mitchell, Sewell, Lewis & Hodge are pretty consistant high end scorers. Throw in the odd blinder from Pops, Smith, Goo, Bruest & possibly Roughy / Hale....its starting to become a bit of a line up to get a limited amount of points on offer.

Who has Pav got to contend with? 211, Fyfe Mundy Mzungu & maybe Barlow?

Goodes & Cox would have a similar arguement but all 3 have the distinct added advantage of home ground games, where their opposition is less likely to dominate.

But.....Goodes, Cox & Pav you would say are past their best, or more accurately, wouldnt seem to improve on their current output.

Sizzle is young, there arent many players that can evade 3 opponents at once with the ball in their hands, there arent many players that can chase down a player giving them a 15m head start, there arent many players that can tackle 3 players within a 6m radius and a 4 second time frame.

Each player has their own merit and would not be a bad choice but Sizzle has the potential to increase his scoring, he has the key ingredients there to do so, he may well turn the comp on its head. Who is the opposition meant to tag with Hawthorn? This gives Sizzle a free roam as attention would go to the big ball winners like Hodge and Mitchell...

The main strategy of SC is to increase PPG from the initial price you paid for the player...this looks to be hard for Cox & Goodes coming off their great year last year.

Hell....now I think I should get Sizzle back in.....bloody champ he is...its great he plays for the Hawks and does bollox stuff, let alone when he is in your SC side and does it also.

I had Swan from the start but watching his form over the NAB cup has me sending him out for Pendles. For the money you need to be sure they're going to perform.

In regards to Pav, I reckon he's going to have a big year personally. He is undervalued due to his injury in the last game of the season last year, he'd be Buddy priced otherwise. He had a hip operation which had been bothering him for 2 years at the end of the season and posted his best 3km time trial last month. Locked in for me.

Yeah Pendles is pushing Swan out ATM. He's a better SCer anyway. He's the most expensive with good reason.

On Pav I just wonder if he will readjust quickly to be a KPP again and if he can kick enough goals. There's Clarke and Johnson and even Anthony, who used to be a deadeye dick for the pies. Not doubting for a second that he's a gun.
