One of the Gentlemen of the AFL Jim Stynes has lost his battle with cancer.He was one of the most courageous men, on and off the feild. Will be sadly missed by all, R.I.P big fella

So sad to hear that Jim lost his battle this morning. There probably isnt another gentleman that is as respected and loved by so many from all sides of football. I hoped and prayed like thousands of others that you would come out victorious Jim but it wasnt to be. God bless you, my deepest sympathy to your family and freinds and to all from the Melbourne Football Club. We have all lost a giant of the game and in life. So very sad. RIP.

Not only was he a champion player, he had football in his blood and lived and breathed it. He is a hero of the game and his offield work, particularly in recent years and particularly for the Melbourne football club. He was a selfless, caring leader and he will be sadly missed
