Alright everybody, lets clear something up for me.

Rookie elevation; if a club has some vacant spots in its senior list, and looks to elevate some rookies to fill those spots, what does this mean exactly? They are now officially in the club list? Is that right?
How does it affect anything else? Does it mean they get more games?
And are there any pre-requisites one must follow to be elevated?

And most importantly, what does this mean for our SuperCoach teams!?!?

Thanks, Luigi :)

PS: This is also posted in the Front Bar and Coaches Board for the Coaches.

By my understanding, your club has two spots. They can be filled by either veterans or rookies. If any players get placed on the long term injury list a rookie can be "nominated" to take their place on the club senior list for the amount of time.

So I'll use Essendon as an example. They have their two spots filled by the veterans Fletcher and Hille so there are no spots left. However, because both Prismall and Gumbelton are on the LTI list that gives them the oppurtunity to "nominate" two rookies (if they want) to take their place on the senior list.

It can be good depending if the players look like they'd get games (Magner, Couch) but mostly the rookies are there because of backup so you don't get as screwed as Freo last year.

I think there's also a midseason rookie upgrade thing but I know nothing about that.

Hope I helped  :)

Kangaroos have announced they are promoting Aaron Mullett, not Sam Gibson.

I think they have a 2nd spot says the article and Gibson is ahead of most of the others

You are indeed correct. The first time I read it, I thought there was only one spot. But there is a second one due to one of draftees suffering a LTI. :(
