Backs I Would only go with one maximum 2 of Dempsey,Hargrave or Lake But as seem to want take the high risk go with it. The problem with your defence is that your cheapest player on the field is Bower you haven't gone with Bugg,Darley,Ellis,Morris.
Mids: 2 premiums is not enough you are likely to fall behind with that midfield
Rucks: You need at least 1 premium ruckman Jacobs hasn't reached that level yet.
Fwds: Strong FWDS wAite if he can stay on the field all season will be a great POD.

Overall Slightly Unbalanced too with too many risks. Its good to have some uniques but not too many. I give you a 7/10

Just some of the reasoning behind my picks

My theory with Dempsey, Hargrave and Lake is that for that price who am I going to get that is better. Lake is fit and if he fires I get a top 7 back. All these guys are in he best 22 and have better job security then the cheaper rookies in Morris and Ellis.

I don't want more then one GWS player in each line (even though I broke that rule today for my forward line since I have not seen Couch be upgraded yet). I had Darley on my bench instead of Townsend. Darley was not named so I have since changed it to Bugg. I have not gone with Bugg/Darley/Ellis/Morris on the field because there is a larger gap between the premium defenders and the mid price defenders. Ellis and Morris are both going to struggle to get a game let alone hold a spot in the team (Conca last season was not that good of a cash cow, Cam Richardson). They might play round 1 but I don't see them playing consistently. Bower is going to play early and often due to the injuries and he is a proven SC player in previous years.

In terms of premiums in the mids. Jack has the ability to be a premium this year if he stays fit. Hayes was a premium before his injury so I am picking up a cheap premium in Hayes. Also the differential between Jack and Hayes compared to Selwood/rookie is not going to be much if anything at all.

Jacobs plays GC, WB, Hawks, GWS and Port in his first 5 rounds. I am planning for him to be my number one ruckman early until I upgrade HMac/Kreuz to Cox or Mummy.

My team right now looks like this

Backs: Scotland, Fisher, Newman, Lake, Hargrave, Dempsey, Bower, Guthrie, Bugg
Mids: Ablett, Rockliff, Jack, Hayes, Hogan, Magner, Shiel, Pfeiffer
Rucks:  Jacobs, McIntosh, Giles, Redden
Forwards: Buddy, Chapman, Fyfe, Danger, Waite, Porplyzia, Devon Smith, Hall, Kennedy

I am looking at going Hogan to Caddy or Ledger (pending on cash needed) McIntosh to Kreuz, Fisher to Burgoyne or Goddard and Hall to another rookie if he is not named.

Very happy so far. Jack killed it. Did not start Shiel on the filed so have not been burnt

So my current team looks like this

Backs: Scotland, Newman, Fisher, Lake, Hargrave, Dempsey, Bower, Guthrie, Bugg
Mids: Ablett, Rockliff, Jack, Hayes, Hogan, Magner, Pfeiffer, Shiel
Rucks: Jacobs, Kreuzer, Giles, Redden
Forwards: Buddy, Chapman, Martin, Dangerfield, Waite, Porplyzia, Hall, Devon Smith, Kennedy

With Pfeiffer named the emergency I am thinking of using the MPP link I have right now to move him to the forward line. These are the moves I am thinking of making right now.

Fisher>>>Burgoyne
Guthrie>>>Taylor Hunt
Pfeiffer>>>Dangerfield
Hogan>>>Rookie
Pfeiffer>>>Rookie

I am also looking at getting Grimes in

I will then shift Dangerfield back into my forward line next week and use Kennedy as my MPP in the mids

Any advice on the moves I am thinking of making?

Mat0369

I just ripped my backline apart.

I made two trades last week

Ledger>McDonald
Bower>Treloar while moving Smedts to the backs.

My current team looks like this, 22 trades left

Goddard, Scotland, Newman, Grimes, Lake, Dempsey, Bugg, Clarke, Smedts
Ablett, Rockliff, Hayes, Jack, Magner, McDonald, Shiel, Treloar
Jacobs, Kreuzer, Giles, Redden
Franklin, Dangerfield, Waite, Chapman, Martin, Poplyzia, Kennedy, Smith, Hall

I have $169,100 in spare cash.

I have had scores of 2,159, 2,195, 2,102, 2,046, 2009 and have left points on the bench (Lake Round 1 over Bugg and bad captain choice last week in Goddard are examples). I have been disappointed with my teams scores and they are up and down.

If Horsley plays well this weekend and keeps his spot I will look at bringing him into my mids next week. O'Keefe, Mundy, Sylvia are my upgrade targets before the byes. Pendles and Murphy will be the next two for my mids during or after the bye weeks. I am sitting undefeated in my league at the moment with the most points for and second most against.

1987 this week  :-\

I had Rockliff as captain and he put up a huge 74 (148 as captain). I also started Clarke on the bench and he scored 100. It was not a good week of decisions.
