Beau Waters

I upgraded to Beau Waters from Hargrave because I had a lot of excess cash but I'm still unsure if it's worth it (although I can't think of where else to spend the extra money).

I also have Goddard, Shaw, Birchall, and Deledio in the backs and $22,000 leftover. My 5th defender needs to have the bye in rd 11 or 12.

Basically, my question is that if I should keep Beau Waters, or trade him for another mid-price back (Duffield, Hargrave?).

If you're happy with the kamakazi style Beau plays then lock him in!

If both he and Hargrave stay on the park, I'd think that Waters will probably be more consistent in his scoring (around 80-90). Big if, though.

IMO, Hargrave could average between 70 and 80 but may have some fluctuation as Howards and possibly Lake share the points around between them.

Waters has potential to be a top 7 defender @ years end if he can get through the season unscathed.

Not top 7. Birchall, Goddard, Scotland, Deledio, Suckling, Carrots and Broughton will outscore him easily. Plus Enright and others.

I think he could push 90ish but even at 80-85 his 70-100K underpriced and would be a more than handy 7th defender.

He would be very lucky to push above 85ppg i have a feeling butler and hurn will score better than waters this year

I picked him with around ~85 ppg in mind. Anything under 80 will be disappointing. Would I be better off with an extra 100K for trades or with Waters instead of Hargrave?

Seems like a stupid question but I really can't think of where to spend the other 100K as most of my players are locked due to byes. Only real upgrade would be Dangerfield to Gia which I'm fairly unkeen on.

Have you thought about duffield? I think waters is a safer pick than hargrave mate but i dont really like either TBH

I have thought about Duffield but haven't seen any Fremantle games live so haven't had a good look as to how he was actually performing.

Is he a player likely to average more than 85 ppg?

if you can afford it i think broughton is the much better option, not sure if its worth the $$ for you though. I would pick waters above duffman anyday of the week though and in fact i did. I have broughton and waters in my team.
