yeah they dont have game points market up on tab yet,,
was thinking the freo/stk and the syd/north games look good for the under 190 points match score or even under 160,, may depend on weather, thats maybe why the markets arnt open yet

u have to figure  hawks, blues, eagles, cats and pies will be in the top 4,, so one will have to miss

Yeah these were the games I was after. One team in each game is scoring less than 50 I feel...

at them odds, u can back both and the odds for one of them teams to make top 4 will be $1.54..
personally  i wouldnt trust the pies this year,, think the cats at $2.75 is the bet.(cats $2.50,pies $3.00 at TAB)
for roughie adelaide $5.00 for top 4 could be worth a punt

these are the bets that look good to me,, just singles but could be used in multi's...
all prices are from TAB in SA
     Freo $3.05 win,  1-39 $3.75,  +18.5 $1.95
     Ess +39.5 $1.95
     Coll 60+ $3.00
     Bris -16.5 $1.90
     Geel -34.5 $1.90,  25+ $1.55
     syd/north either team under 15.5  $2.60
     Bulldogs -18.5 $1.90,  40+ $3.30

Don't like these personally.

Can't see Freo beating St Kilda over here in Melbourne.
With Essendon cruelled by injury and maybe resting players in preparation for Anzac Day i see a massive Blues win (as much as i hate to say it).
Collingwood aren't exactly setting the world on fire although they'll be keen to redeem for last week i can't see them beating an improved Port by 10+ goals.

Just my 2 cents  ;)

you are probably right, but freo at them odds.. saints arnt exactly the greatest side
blues after a big game last week, may not be quite as destructive this round.. ess with a 7 goal line(yeah maybe not that good a bet)
and pies will beat port by a fair bit, have to figure by atleast 30+points,, and i dont think the line bet was worth it at -41.5,, so the 60+ at $3 looked better to me

I have $15 left in my sportsbet account.

Going to go with a resonably safe multi paying about 3 to 1.

I'm thinking $10 of those on this...

Saints to beat Fremantle at Etihad
Carlton to beat Essendon at the 'G
Collingwood to beat Port by at least 20 points at Etihad
Adelaide to beat GWS by at least 40 points at AAMI
Geelong to beat Richmond by at least 20 points at Skilled

Paying $3.03 - Iffy on the Saints leg and tempted to move the lines in the Pies and Cats games up a little...

Looking for something speculative for my last $5...

Thoughts?

Cheers!

PowerBug

Move the pies margain to 20 goals. Just as likely as 20 points.

saints are not worth the odds IMO(what r they $1.35 or something?)  think u are better dropping that leg and adding either bulldogs or brisbane to the multi..
for your last $5,, maybe when the market opens, go like  the -160 total match points for the syd/nth game,, at a guess would be around $4 maybe more.
or a multi with pies, crows, bulldogs, cats all at 40+   not sure the payout

yeah saw this today, easy easy money there on the cats

blues are now favs for the flag what the flower??? and hawthorn are at 7 bucks, pies and cats at even longer odds

i want to do an experiment and see what happens is you bet the same amount of money on the favourite for each match in each round would you make money overall

i.e you could do it with 1 buck or 100 doesnt really matter the results will be the same just on a different scale

i.e

each round put 1 buck on the fav in each game
(dont have to just mock it up)
at the end of the season will you make a profit

i.e the fav might win 4 or 5 times out of 9 games each week? maybe more i guess with gc, gws melb doing so bad

what are peoples thoughts, would you make a profit

well why dont u go back and see how u would be going if u did it for the first 3 rounds?
i would say you will be losing over the course of a year, simply because bookmakers have to make a profit somehow. very rarely  do 9 favourites win per week and the fact that some odds will be very small, just wouldnt be worth it..  i actually think u would do better doing the same thing ,but backing the roughie in each game

elephants

Yeah cheers maidens.
I'll drop that Saints leg - too risky.
Might go with the Dogs but they weren't overly inspiring last week either... Hmm...

When those over and under markets for total points come out I'll he all over them with my last $5er I reckon :)
