Read on foxsports this morning that two freo backmen went down with injuries last night, does this open the door for this impressive rookie to get elevated with some sort of JS?

true, broughton was always a wait n see how he's really used in a full side and then upgrade if he guns it

How bad were the injuries to the Freo backmen?

Not to sure, the article only mentions michael johnson (ankle) and luke mcpharlin (ribs) doesnt mention how serious they were, was hoping someone heard somewhere else on that front

If they have 2 LTI injuries it will be Spurr and Pearce being upgraded.
Spurr is the only relevant one due to Pearce's price but you would think Spurr would play Broughtons shutdown role to free up Broughton as the main distributer out of the backline.
