which carlton mid do you reckon will score better, considering both as my 3-4th mid

murph will play purely as a mid and just rack up the possies

gibbs will play in every position possible, may kick a couple goals or get some tackles

Colliwobblers

gibbs gets the dirty jobs, he is a star and will score well but will have his low games when he gets a tough job.

Judd is definately only for SC and Murphy is also better in SC but of all the Carlton players Gibbs would have been the historical best DT blue but I think Murphy has passed him now even in DT definately in SC.

Master Q

Murphy. He'll kill it this year.

nostradamus

its a real shame that carlton havent got another "go to" man for the tough tagging jobs (like goodes)

.....he'd be truly elite if he didnt get given "jobs" to do and was just allowed to play the way he can

Colliwobblers

yeah who can forget last years game round 6, when he and goodes murdered each others DT scores playing on each other what a shameful act by ratten obviously neither was in his DT team

and you can bet it'll be the match up again this year......the sad thing is it's liike a nil all draw

I'm really hoping someone like Robinson can stand up and be the hard midfield/halfback tagger that they force Gibbs into just so he can live up to his potential

Windigo

Murphy just for his consistency. Gibbs can score heavily but his role plays an integral part in his scores.

mezzoculo

Both guns.
Murphy may score higher but Gibbs, at his starting price, is better value for money. That would be the deciding factor for me.

Jackina

Gibbs has always been a personal favourite of mine but that might just be because of his old def/mid positioning and Murphy's year last year was extremely good... So it's really a choice between consistency (Murphy) and the roller coaster ride that is Gibbs.

I think that they'll have really similar averages though and the extra 20k with Gibbs gives him the advantage for me, you just have to prepare yourself for those odd low scores.

That's my 2 cents.  :P
