Is Goddard going to be the scorer most people are expecting him to be in 2012?

Yes
No

I have been thinking it and now people are starting to say it. Is Brendan Goddard going to be the DT Scorer people are expecting him to be in 2012?. He has been cruising through NAB Cup with little to no publicity. His NAB Cup perfomances have been so so. So I thought I would get people thoughts and see if they were thinking the same thing?

He hasn't lit the world on fire but then again no St Kilda player really has. They've only had 1 real game hitout and from what i remember m0nty had him down as coming on and off the bench a bit so my guess is that they were just screwing around with their team trying to different things out with a new coach.

Come the real season I would expect Goddard to be played properly and score accordingly. See how he goes this week perhaps but for the season i don't see him dropping below a 90 ave at absolute worst and more likely than not he should break the ton instead

Don't get me wrong he should still be in everyones best side but i'm wondering if he should have the tag as number 1 defender. I can see a couple of others scoring more than him this season. I think Suckling will score more points with Hawthorns high possesion tactics. Also Deledio may score more as he is going to be rotating through the midfield. Just food for thought.

No Goddard for me . Plenty of other options in structuring up my team.  :o Still what do I know I dont / wont have Deledio either.

There was word out of St Kilda (and perhaps directly out of Goddard) that he'll be spending more time forward this season.
Make of  that what you will but if his scoring mirrors that of Gibbs' in the second half of the year then jump aboard!

Contemplating dropping Goddard for Scotland. Will watch him closely this weekend to see what he does. Also will be very keen on hearing how Deledio plays...

could have summarised that in

'no chance'

Yeah goddards price is to average 95. I think he can score up to 110 on previous years.

risky strategy but if goddard comes out and averages 105 and lids 100 your going to be a long way from the pack and will struggle to fit them in. possible suicide for overall but could work for league

I haven't watched the game, but from goddards first half it looks like he has to be a keeper.
