Thanks if you got this far, not sure which structure to go. No poll on purpose as I would really like some feedback :) Thank-you all who read to the bottom :)

2 large cokes

I'm going with option 2. except instead of a 4th mid prem I have a mid pricer. I believe you need atleast 4 premiums in the back plus a hargrave or lake and then 3 rooks because for me this year besides ellis there's not really any other standout rookie backs so far. I'm comfortable picking 3 but if I go with 4 I rooks I get a little worried I might have to burn a trade early to cover some 0's.

jabroni

im guessing with that many back prems ur going with giles as 2nd ruck

so i would me mitigating all further risks and maybe just 1 more mid pricer and rest premiums preferably mid pricer in def and none in mids

Edit: Option 2 then

elephants

Thanks heaps guys. Annoyingly enough option 3 is sticking out at me :(

Yep I like option 3, except I've only got 1 mid and 4 prems in def. I've gone cheap ruck strategy this yr!

Option two is my current set-up, primarily becuase I'm much more confident with selecting premium defenders than the other lines (as there are so few legitimate options). Considering the comparatively slower maturation rate of defender rookies, I'm happy to start a mid-pricer here too.

Also, I believe that four mid-premiums is a great balance between point- and cash-generation too. Any more and you're increasing the risk of missing a rookie gem while fewer than four means you may be behind the scoring 8-ball over the first month or so. The right mid-pricer in M5 could offer an alternative if you have the cash, too.

Jukes

Mine is basically option 3, except I have 4 premium backs and a mid-pricer not 3.

T Dog

option 3 for me. a few midpricers have been with me from January.

Ricochet

I've just changed mine to
DEF prem prem prem prem mid mid rook
MID prem prem prem rook rook rook
