Well toodledock, you know it isn't a good sign when you are tanking from round 1... In all seriousness  this is a massive game for the bombers. Freo is no pushover at Subi, remember earlier in the year they had 3 wins in a row at Subi against teams like Carlton. If essendon do manage to roll them (there will be a party at my place :P)and secure a spot in the 8 then we'd play Adelaide or Carlton in the first week of finals. So the winner of next weeks match plays a big part. Obviously I'd rather play the Blues. A. Because it takes away the home advantage.B. Because we have a good history against Carlton(we've won the last 5 matches against them) Us beating the Saints takes a bit of the pressure off because now if we beat Freo we will have no pressure going into next weeks match. The bloody callers want us to lose so there is a match  for eighth  next week. Atleast Port can't make finals now that makes me happy.

To fix up an error:

Carlton didn't lose to Freo at Subi, we lost to them at the Gold Coast.

If Essendon don't beat Freo, in such an important game, you don't deserve to make the finals.

Also, I hope you do win... Because nothing would be sweeter than knocking off the Bombers in the finals, especially with your supporters being so smug about your recent history against Carlton.

Let's hope its '99 all over again.
