I still see the Pies, Cats and Hawks as a cut above the rest but am expecting the Pies and Cats to fall away over the coming 2-3 years. Cats won't maintain it I don't think and making Buckley the coach was a mistake imo.

I'd love 4th upwards but I think 6th upwards is more realistic with LeCras going down, its might hard to replace 2+ goals a match, and with Nicoski going down aswell you'd hope Kennedy comes close to Coleman with Lynch, Darling, Hill & Co. kicking 30+ for the season to be any real challange :-\

um you don't need that many kicking close to 30 goals

Hawthorn last year only had 2 goal kickers kick 30 or more goals

in 2011 they had 7 players kick over 20 goals, those guys kicked around 220 between them, there's almost 90 goals coming out of that total from LeCras & Nicoski going down, Kennedy was the other big contributor with 59 out of the total.  So what I meant was that the other 4 guys kicking around the 20 mark need to lift it to 30 to capitalise on inside 50's etc.

Darling, JJK, Lynch, Hill, Cox even midfielders like Shuey and Embers are all able goal kickers still!!

Was my smokie this year very surprised on his lack of tackles but still more than happy with his 98, just gotta work in 10 tackles and were talking :)
